    Right on. I have gotten brand new sites into Google within 24 hours by using this very approach. Any link on a regularly crawled website will get you into Google almost immediately, but if you use Google's addurl link, I have heard that it can take as long as six months for Google to crawl your website.

    You might also want to consider 'Bum Marketing'. It's cheap (as in ZERO cost) and it's effective. If you follow a few simple rules and set out a road-map for yourself you can definitely get a good listing with the big 'G' and then start earning some money.

    Great answers.....it seems we make things so difficult. I remember first hearing about the Craigslist trick some years ago and lightbulbs went off. Actually there are tons of places with high pr where you can leave a backlink for getting listed and ranked.
