Average around $425 a day with google and a few affiliate programmes but the net after costs is closer to $250.

 

Thats a lot of money, but you don't really know how much they are investing to get that much return

If you do your job well online and make a good site that can be put on autopilot then I guess you can earn this amount and don't have to work that much and still earn a good bit from your site.

That's one good thing about sites is that they are not all that costly to set up and you can make some good money from them while you are doing other things.

The majority of our big money affiliates are SEO's and email marketers. We have a couple guys who run pop networks that do great as well.

I think the largest returns are made by persons holding strong type in domains. I know a few people that have solid three-four letter generic type in domains that earn approx 3k/day, month in month out. Nice thing about the generic type in is that you never have to worry about SEO. I purchased a few interesting one awhile back for instance www.domminos.com as well as mind.com but they havent done a whole lot

 

fit - I dont want to sound pompous but $250 a day is hardly big money - not in the bigger picture where people are making many many times that and certainly not enough for a 46yo with a family and a UK mortgage to support - defintley not "give up the day job" big anyway

 

$250 is like 91,000 a year thats like 3 or 4 times what the average american makes.

You are right there. As longs as the domain contains good solit words that are easy to remember and are based on the topic of your site/ industry then you should do better than some sites.

For example, there was a site with a domain like:

abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz.com

Now the site on that domain seems to have changed as it is no longer running and is pointing to somthing else.

why some people give there sites some weired domain names I wouldn't know. But remembering something like that is alright, but you wouldn't want to keep typing it in as it is just annoying. And if you don't know the alphabet then you have no chance of getting to that site.

well i am hoping that traffic will increase soon. i am still not even listed in any of the se's ANY of them so i am trying to get my link out to some places... i hope it works other wise next year i will get my first check from google around november 2007....

 

I get lots of google traffic daily for one game alone (Suikoden V ~ 100 uniques daily) but have only three dollars in Adsense since the beginning of 06. Alas most of my searches contain the word walkthrough (i write video game walkthroughs) thus I get the impression people are coming to browse rather than buy. Regardless of how much work and time I put into it nothing comes out of it.

The only people making money are the googles of the world or the companies where everyones domains are parked like sedo, trafficmonikor etc.
