Chavez? Best leader in the world??

Discussion in 'Politics & Religion' started by Supper, Jun 9, 2008.

In my blog, I made a post about Chavez and his recent "Nineteen Eight-Four" like fascist policies and someone made a comment about how he's the best leader in the world.

I'll admit, I'm out of touch, since a lot of idiots think this guy is great.

Is Chavez a great leader? Or another pinko dictator that hates freedom?

that was an example, since Bush is widely known, and some see him as the best leader while others see the opposite, any leader is seen as the best leader in the world by at least some people, but usually people do not call the others who have different opinions as idiots.

Bush is a way better person even if you dislike his policies. Chavez is a terrible person.

Why is it only Americans that say things like this about Chavez and Castro? Is the propaganda campaign only ran in America?

I rather like Chavez and his policies, a great inspiration. He really cares about his people and he is a true democrat.

"democratic".... ;) I rather sympathize with his ideologies as internationally stated and expressed (which are good intentions), I really don’t know if he sticks to his words, cause’ I’m a logical person and will only settle where I was told to or as far as I "know", you can say citizens under his control are poorly treated, but that’s just an opinion (yours), which I respect, but won’t debate.

He is probally one of the most democratic people in the world. He lost the vote for him to change the constitution by 51% and he accepted it, any dictator would not have accepted it.

Well we know how great "good intentions" are. Just look at how great Che Guevara was when he was committing mass executions in the name of "good intentions". Hitler had some "good intentions" of wiping Jews off the Earth.

He accepts it, but instead imposes 1984 spy on your neighbor like policies. Don't want to spy on your neighbor, goto jail.

Why don't we compare chavez to standards instead of Bush that degenerates into a highjacked flame war?

I don't know what it is, but it must be the mass murdering, hatred of thought, controlling, anti-freedom, poverty ridden policies? What makes these people so great?

chavez is a stupid dictator. he has no skills. his nation is suffering and he is blaming everything on the west. this guy has no strategy and capabilities to take his country forward. Therefore, in order to stay in power he is blaming the west and trying to show his people that he cares.

There are countries that were doing much worse than Venezuela, has shown quite a bit of progress under smart leaders. After the WW2, Japan was devastated but they fought back and see where they are today. They didn't reach this position by blaming the US eventhough they planted nuclear bombs.

Be smart everyone and THINK! I know that you guys hate the US but it doesn't mean you will support every single person that are against the US.

He blames anyone that disagreed. A television station disagreed with him and he shut them down. And there's people here that like him. He now has people spying on their neighbors or he throws them in jail. I'm waiting for the news to come out about KGB midnight kidnappings. I bet people will still be chanting "viva senior Chavez"!

I'm sure everything will be peachy when people come back from their KGB kidnapped re-education session. Viva Senior Chavez. Viva Senior Chavez!

it also does not mean that every single person that USA says is bad and point its media against him, is necessarily a bad person.

Another question is - why do people care if they think his policies are bad but the people living by it are satisfied? Ignorance is sometimes good, just ignore them or you would be just as bad trying to impose your beliefs and viewpoints on others who are actually experiencing this lifestyle. They seem happy so let them live!

I am not an American. I dislike him not because the US media says so. I use my brain and I see what's going on. If he were truly a liberal then he would create an atmosphere where the freedom of speech is exercised. Anyone who talks against him he shuts them down.

He whines against the US but what positive shit has he done for Venezuela? Nothing! If he were doing amazing then that would be a different thing.
