    hi webmasters

i have noticed a website that is copying content from many blogs on regular basis and post that on its own. I have noticed that all of my blog posts have been copied by that website, i have also send an abuse report but no action has been taken yet.

I got surprise when i found one of my post on their website just after few minutes i posted that on my website.
Please advice what to do ?

If you have RSS you can check if you are flushing complete RSS feed or partial. Convert it to partial.

Change your template and if it's a bot copying your content it will fail :)

Report to the hosting provider of the other blog and you might get some respite !!

btw, you can also insert your 'site name' and URL within the content so that the blog's readers know it's stealing content from your blog.

    You different styles like

    -m-y-b-l-o-g-.-c-o-m-
    --myblog.com--
    --m.y-b.l-og.com--
    ..
    ..

    You get the idea :)

Well as what have said earlier that is pretty normal. But it was really annoying when someone copied your work. Anyway it's fine to use or repost your work as long as they put your link or the name of the author.

It's NOT fine for others to repost work (even if author name and link is given). Not for all content. You can't repost copyrighted content.

You can check the difference between creative common licenses of different types and you will realize that it's not always fine to copy and repost.

@sprabhu: Don't forget to put a copyright notice on your blog :)

Whenever you are posting a particular post, post it such way that it covers internal linking,

if your post is about link development, than you may have many post related to it, just place another post URL as anchor in the content of the new post, it will make your post too good as well as if that person really dont know more than copy and pasting than you should not worry about it, because you will get tons of links through that.

Well, Its a very common issue now, and google are getting plenty of mails in a day of that issue that's way he takes much time. You can do one thing banned there IP address on your server. if you done that then they can't open your blog

Seems to be very funny, what happens if they are going to access with the different id's.

I don't know how to set up, but you can setup such things like no one can able to visit your blog from the respective area.

still he can find another way too...

if he is living in US and he gonna hire a person from Indonesia and tell him to send all those post through mails, than what you will do...

I think Google only can do needful actions.

Funny for what. Look man you are going very deeply if we are thing like it can happen or it can also happen then we can't do anything and for your kind information we can block IP of respective area where we wont get visitors and It's a quick way which we can instantly apply, if we wait for google action then it will be too late.

One more think there are lot's of spammer and if anybody are doing copy your content then it's not mean it always copy from only your site if he not able to open your site then he must be going to another site. and I don't think so he will hire any person to do this if he is able to hire any personal then he must be hire one content writer.

Yes, this is the best way to deal with this problem, but what if they use nofollow tag for my website links.
