Being nice

Being nice is really hard.

Those of you who do it constantly -- HOW DO YOU DO IT?

 

I bite my tongue with some ppl...... lol.... But the customer is always right, yes? lol

 

will I think you are one of the nicest people here. perhaps you could share =P

 

Beeing nice when you need to be nice is hard indeed.

There are people which deserved the others not to be nice with them, others the exact opposite.

So it's the people you deal with that often help you be nice or not!

It's not so hard to be nice, is it? Maybe it's easier for females? Anyway, I treat people how I hope they would treat me back.

On the other hand... I don't lose any sleep if someone is not nice to me for some silly reason. Just move on, it's their loss!

 

Actually, I think that life would be pretty dull if everyone was nice and cute

 

Just live and learn.

You can't be nice all of the time of course especially when you are intentionaly provoked.
It takes practice for some of us including myself.

I was very responsive in past times when someone delibaretely make stupid comments about something regarding me posting something but now i try to stand above it or ignore it and sometimes if the timing isn't right and i wil respond anyways. (we are all human afterall)

It just isn't worth your mental energy and the time to reply if you have to reply back in a not so nice manor or even aggresively.

I was the kind of guy when i was younger that would get upset by looking at me in a way i wouldn't like.
A bad or nasty look was all it would take to set me off.

Well, I am an actor, so I act being nice out.
It works too, because I am that great.

But if you have a lot of trouble being nice, then just keep quiet. Hehe..

I always try to be nice and polite, dont know which one is the hard part ????

 

You would not believe what I have to put up with owning a bar, I tend to find people are either normal, stupid or just want a slap.

I also have to put up with questions like:

Customer: Do you need a licence for a venus fly trap?
Me: (I don't think I did answer, just ignored her)

Customer: I'll have a brandy on Ice
Me: Which brandy would you like
Customer: Famous Grouse
Me: Thats a whisky
Customer: ok I'll have a Famous Grouse Brandy please

Customer: Do you live here (Lanzarote)
Me. No I travel from the UK every day
Customer. Don't you get sick of traveling 4 hours then 4 back every day?
(above person was actually serious)

So being nice is normally very hard, I tend to get sent to another pub by my missus when she sees me getting a little unhappy, but generally I tend to smile and go chat to someone else and try not let it bother me
