Whats better for Digital Point?

Hello,

I wish to advertise on DP either via users avatar spot or their signature link.

Which is better?

Also is there any way to track which users (signatures) are being clicked on?

 

I like the blog link
most stats programs will show you the referral link.. That's the only way that I can think of to track

 

yeh just the referral stats, you wont be able to check which sig, sometimes you can see which thread the link was clicked on

I prefer to use sig links to advertise

I like the blog spot best and next the signature link. With the avatar it is not a link so many people do not check it out. The other two are direct links so it is quick and easy and many will take the time if it sounds interesting.

 

I can tell what page someone has clicked my link on.. Like my blog link, if someone clicks it, I'll be able to tell someone clicked it on this page.

I use woopra for stats.

Definitely go with the signature link. Bold red along with a misleading catchline works best.

ok I'm catching on i guess how to do it correctly but my question is, what about a banners or pictures in your signature line will it be great too? or just plain red bold text with catchy phrase ?

 

Try subdirectories with differing counters to track which sigs are being clicked on.

 

I think signature links are good. You can get traffic from intresting signature of intresting user.

 

I personally enjoy reading some of the blogs on here. Ocasionally I will click on siggy links, but only if they are bold, red, and promise a way to make quick money

 

avatars have way more visibility than the signatures. People see avatars automatically while they look at signatures only when you tell them to
