    Suddenly and totally unexpectedly one site of mine got to the MSN first page for a very good keyword.. the keyword was part of the domain!can you explain it? i didn't buy a link for the site i did a few social bookmarks only.

    i try to find some good and safe ways to keep my serp and hopefully make it raise!

    any ideas would be highly appreciated and green rep-ed

    Please don't buy any link. This may harm your SERP.
    Now you can do the following things(Offsite Optimization)::

    1) Submit your site the Free web Directory in proper category.

    2) Write article about the product/service of your site and submit those to the free article directory list.

    3) Make squidoo page about the service of your site.

    4) Submit your site to the niche directory list.

    5) Do link exchange with the relevant niche.

    ** Always try to get links from the relevant niche and also from the relevant category.

    ** Don't buy any link. Build only natural links.

    ** Avoid to get links from Link Farm OR Hub.

    I dnt think buying a link from the high PR websites will harm. Focus on to increase backlink by very unique and interesting content. Submit your website in web directories and also social bookmarking websites are very helpful. Keep updating your website always.

    I have my website in the top 10 for all of my keywords, a couple are ranked number 1 yet my google ranks are no where to be seen. After doing some research this seems to be normal for sites under 6 months old.

    the last social bookmarks are done 3 months ago.
    nothing happened for the last 3 months..

    anyway, my question is not how the site got to top 10 but how can i keep my positions!

    @Comfis,I will always prefer To do On side factors in our sites for better Improvements with Good Rankings in MSN Like

    * the content of the page including Proper keywords without Stuffing
    * the internal linking structure of the site (how the pages of your site are linked together)
    * the number of pages in your site and the relevancy of those pages to your main topic and phrases
    * the use of Titles, Heading tags and Special formats etc..

    and regards off side Factors so

    I would like to say quality inbound links with good anchor text is huge for the MSN Search system. I am ranking on competitive terms with quality + Fresh content but with good links pointing to them!
