Purchased traffic?

Discussion in 'General Marketing' started by Protoss, Dec 10, 2004.

I'm working on a new site right now and I was considering purchasing traffic (from targetedvisitors.info) after I complete it to try and get the site pumping. Will that cause a problem? Or is that acceptable?

Purchasing traffic for your site has no bearing on the coop.

Purchasing traffic is a waste of money. You'll be a lot more successful (and have more fun), by taking out that cash, lighting it and watching it burn. Especially from a site called "targetted visitors" - yeah; targetted by spyware.

usually when purchasing traffic you are purchasing traffic bots or pop ups / unders...really no value in doing that.

I don't recommend purchasing traffic.. All it ever did for me was produce fraud, multiple times :p Sites like that just don't work. Nor do the pop up exchanges, pop under exchanges, or even the click networks.. Try advertising on some similar sites or go on a mad link exchanging spree.. it all depends on what your targeted area is.. Good luck!!

Anything that does not look 100% reputable is probably 100% scam in this game :( steer well clear.

I am just curious guys what traffic company did you purchase traffic from that gave you such poor service? I see allot of posts about traffic providers and how terrible they are----->look at this thread, I could not believe the treatment I recieve after posting about my service and none of these people know me at all, (it confuses me to a point, as to why?)

Any ways, How does everyone in this post promote your sites, what converts the best for you guys? :)

This is my own experience. I went there, done that!

    I purchased targetted visitors
    I purchased pop under
I purchased guaranteed 'click' (free casino stuff, people click on anything to play for free :D )
I purchased guaranteed read email (get $0.05 when you read emails...)
    I purchased exchange banners...

I never spent more than $25 then measure the return... That was an easy task, total spent $125, total return $0

Then I invested $100 in Overture and got it blown in few hours, I got 700 visitors... too broad keywords and no sale. I refined my keywords. Using less 'searched' ones but more focussed and a lot of tracking. (if you can't track it, you can't fix it :) )
Re-spent $100 in Overture I got much less visitors like 15 a day with a cost of $0.15 pre visitors. But I got a sale almost every day.
Did the same 'homework' with Google and Findwhat. I now get several sales a day with an overal cost of $1,000 per month very good ROI but very few visitors compared to the competition.

I worked on our newsletter which counts over 8,000 members and realises 25% on our sales.

Now I'm working on SEO, the same way... one step at the time, learning everyday. Making mistakes, learning from it and improving.

My point is that you can't get 20,000 visitors and related sales over night, it needs work and tracking unless you have an ulimited budget (not my case)

There are some serious traffic sellers.
(Look for a company adress and phone number.)

Also see if they can deliver ONLY redirected traffic.

I am a regualr user of purchased traffic, and i have found that redirected traffic gives more sales than popup or popunder traffic.

I am know that buying traffic does not boost my rankings, but it boost my sales, and after all thats what i want.

I am more than happy with my traffic provider.

I haven't had any success with traffic sellers either...It may work for some markets, but it didn't for me.

I got 1000 visitors to a page that wasn't indexed by google, and adsense was only displayed 2 times.

So out of my 1000 visitors, for some reason adsense was only loaded 2 times...kinda fishy...

I had enough clients that wanted to buy traffic that I tested a few places. I found one that I actually got some searches and clicks from when I sent it to my ppc SE as the landing page. So it seemed to be real traffic at least. I then signed up to resell the service.
It is not directly linked to as so far I usually just have offered it to clients that inquired about it.

http://www.onlinedirectory.ws/order/traffic.php is the order url. If you want to try it out I can offer it in units as low as 1000 visitors, pm me for details.

ONLY use PPC traffic, if you buy mass traffic, you will only have a load of bots hitting your site. As far as I know, bots wont buy any services, or click on your ads.
