Just to let you know of the latest 0.9 release of WordBay, the free niche-site plugin for Wordpress. You can now specify minimum and maximum price, and I have also added a "CLICK" button to hopefully improve clickthrough - have a look at http://www.itsgottabered.com/wordbay/2008/new-version-of-wordbay-now-set-min-and-max-price-and-more/ Cheers, Mark
WOW Markowe It keeps getting better and better. Will be trying out the new versions first thing tomorrow. Thanks for a great plugin
Thanks Mark. Can you or anyone else tell me how to change the color of the "click here for details" links Thanks
Hi, You mean the little grey button button? It's done as a little graphic, called click-for-details.png which lives in your plugin directory. Basically, you can do what you want with this - draw a new one in a graphics program and just replace the old one. I am really not a designer, so this was something I knocked up in Photoshop that I thought would work with most templates. Let me know if you need any more help.
Its not a button in my theme just a line of text. Must be the theme. I was just thinking of wanting to change it to a brighter color.
Aha... it sounds like the icon is not showing, just the image ALT text. Did you not want it showing? Have a look at a page on my test site - http://www.vintage-point.info/vintage-and-retro-clocks/cuckoo-clocks/, yours should look like that. If not then the file click-for-details.png is not where it's supposed to be. If you wanted a text link, well... probably you'd have to edit the code - but I don't know if you want to do that...? Currently the link color will come up as the same color that you have defined in your CSS for links.
DOH!!!! I just realised I failed to include the click-for-details.png graphic in the latest release package of WordBay! Now THAT would be why it's not appearing! Please go and download the new package from here. Sorry about that. Also, I am proud to announce that WordBay has been approved for the WordPress Plugins directory, so I guess it's official now!! You saw it here first, though
Let me know how you get on. I am having a little break from developing it just now - Google seems to be cracking down on sites that display eBay listings, including those made with WordBay. I am waiting to see if it's going to be worth working on it, or whether I need to make some changes in order for Google to "like" it more.
