I wanted to know that i am getting traffic on a single thread from Google
and now when i do Site:mysite.com that thread is ranking number 2 on the result page
So what do you think about getting traffic from google has any relation with the SEO ?

If that were the case, I could ask everyone I know to type in a competitive keyword, find my site and click my link. And my ranking would jump because of this activity... that's highly unlikely. I don't think that google traffic to your site has anything to do with rankings.

That would be the same as creating a ton of bad neighborhood links to a competitor site in hopes of dropping his rankings - it's not going to happen.

What are you trying to say ?

Yes you can be right but i think google may be having some algo from which only unique visits are been counted and it may be affect our seo
Also i am not talking about high impact i am just talking does it have some impact on it ?

    what you think ?

as for the original question, I don't think it has any impact nor do I think it would be a good idea for google to implement into their algorithm

Although it is quite obvious that higher ranking will bring more traffic, I am quite sure vice versa is not true .i.e how much traffic a website receives will not have a direct impact on rankings. For the same reason participation in PPC campaign do not improve organic ranking no matter how many clicks you are receiving a day.

Then let me put this myth to bed once and for all. No, traffic will NOT have any impact on your rankings. As dtm32236 said, if that was the case then we could increase our rankings just by getting more people to visit our sites.

With Google Analytics and Adsense (never mind their free hosting) they now have access to much more of our visitor data. I'd be amazed if at some point they didn't count the existing popularity of pages into their ranking alogorithm.

Google collects data through the tool bar, analytics, and who knows where else. There have been hints from google employees that the data (page views, bounce rates, etc.) is slowly being worked into to search engine results. However, I haven't seen any evidence of it yet.
