In general, as from my experience, it seems that "Links unit" clicks are lower than "ads unit", because we do not know the ads inside the 'Links unit" and we could not filter it out. It is different with "ads unit" that clearly showing the url and we easily notice the low paid ads. My suggestion is just remove "Links Unit" and set the market targetted on big capitalized countries such as US, UK, Canada and Australia. In addition, do filtering regularly on low paying click competitor ads. Hope you get more valued clicks.
my cpc have been dropping to 0.1 since last month. it used to be 0.2 to 0.5, sometimes I get 0.8 for a click. I think what we (those that experiences this drop in cpc) wants to know is why is this happening, not how to increase our earnings. duh, everyone knows to earn more, you need more traffic (seo) and high ctr and high paying keywords and all that stuff. I am wondering if the economy is hitting the adwords ppl hard... or google is ripping our profits.
My adsense earnings have dropped too. And my click through rate has gone up. I think Google has started taking more of the revenue from publishers.
my adsense income is lowered day by day, At last first week of the June, I see $20 per day today (Normally my adsense income is $45-$50 per day) I think This problem is not related keyword, content SEO etc. and etc. Because, my site traffic source is primarily USA and UK, page views are not mostly changed. But CTR is very very low, $0.01 - $0.05 per click. I think Google will eliminate old Adsense users with such tricks, we have to find another publisher ?
June has been an absolute disaster for me. First 2 weeks of may was averaging $65 per day. Went down the second half of May, but still averaged out to just under $60 First week of June average is down to $20 per day Big ouch. Traffic to my sites is also down, big time. I will stick it out and see what happens.
yeah...same is happened to me......Question is why????....what the hell happenned since mid May???.....on my part...i haven't changed anything.......doing what i have been doing all along.....adding unique content......keywords......SEO...etc.......but on google's end.....wtf????.......i just dropped like a rock! from 5-6%CTR daily.......to under 1%?????.......in a matter of days????? like everything just came to halt....no reason....no idea why.......and i thought it was the summer doldrums...
