How much would you expect?

How much would you expect to earn on a website getting 10,000 pageviews a month?

I'm thinking I am doing something wrong - put 3x adsense ads on a new site that had 10k pageviews in May, earnings were $2 for that month.

Any advice?

10.000 per month = 333 per day if your ctr is 3% = you will get 10 clicks per day. and i personally expect about $0.5-$1.5 from that.

 

So that should be $15 per month right? Why aren't I reaching that amount though?

Is there any unspoken pageview to earnings approximate ratio? In other words what is the critical number of pageviews you need (generally) to pass the $1000/month mark with AdSense?

Well I just checked my stats and apparently my CTR was 0.2% not 3%... is that just bad luck?

 

not just on pageviews alex, but also where's the page views come from (geo location,referring url...)if your visitor all from UK and US and they get your site from google.com, i think your work will be much easier..

 

depends on the context of the 10,000 hits.

if they're all the same 333 people...then your CTR is going to be way lower.
Same with Ad placement....bad placement = bad CTR.
Niche determines $$/click. Bad niche = bad $$/click.

I get roughly 10,000 hits a month and about $3.50/month in return.

My site is also unfinished and I have a CTR well below 3%.

 

Wow, such low $$.. I get 10000 works out to about 1500$ a month. CTR of about 13%

No, just following googles own tips.

I only choose very good niche.. and redirect non US traffic away.

 

I get 10,000 pageviews per day and less than $2 so in a way your doing better than me...(im lucky if I break the $1 barrier)

 

How do sites make money then. If you're getting 10k pages a day that's 300k+ pages a month. There are bloggers out there getting 500k pageviews a month that claim to make a 6 figure salary from advertising.

300k a month is a massive amount of pageviews. Do you make revenue in other ways or just through Google? Cos I'd expect a site with that traffic to be quite successful.

 

10,000 pageviews per day..that preety high..sometime i got only 200 pageview per day and my earning can go up to $5usd..

Yeah, why would you want to redirect them away?
There is nothing wrong with leaving them there and collecting their clicks.

 

Can you share your website link so we can check what can be the main issue . You have very low CTR , so i will suggest you first replace your adsense adds .Then check do you get good profit or not .

If you have a good niche,for example,health related stuff,you may get $3-10 per day.

 

I would expect a CPM of $ 5 -25

 

i have 5 small blogs and i only get about $100/Month and i have been at it for about 3 months now. It's not a lot but sure if i put more attention into content and posted daily, i would get more exposure.
