Plesk is easier to use and has a more user friendly interface.

well if you're hosting people; then more than likely cpanel's the preferred.

I have used both and could live with either.

If it is just for you, pick the one you like. If you plan to host others I feel pretty sure that more people have used cPanel than Plesk. Here and other place I have seen posts saying cPanel preffered.

I'm using both and I like Plesk better. cPanel lacks a delete confirmation! How many times have you put your files in the trash bin by accident? Well, Plesk is user friendly and asks you twice before making a bad move! I really like that feature.

hands down I recommend cPanel to everyone. I have used almost all of them, vDeck, Plesk, cPanel, H-Sphere, and a couple others, my favorite by FAR is cPanel.

So does cheaper == better? If you're going to go cheap and then run into a lot of problems later, wouldn't it be worth it if you had to, spend the extra little bit to get a better control panel?

I prefer Cpanel - now I only work with hosts that offer it.
