Can you encourage visitors to click for charity?

I have a blog that focuses on several non-profit charities. They are focused on promoting fund raising campaigns for certain charities. Would it be a violation of the Google Adsense TOS to encourage or ask site visitors to click on the ads on the site for charity? i.e. All Ad proceeds would be given to a certain charity for XX amount of days. Can I do that?

What about Google referrals (i.e. Google/Firefox dl buttons)?

I would think that affiliate networks would be okay with this for sure because a sale is a sale no matter how you motivate the buyers to generate the sale, but I would like to use Adsense and/or Kontera in addition to the affiliate revenue sources to generate cash for charities.

    What are you thoughts?

No, you can't encourage people to click ads for any reason. Think about it, the people paying for advertising would be paying for un-targetted visitors, so you would basically be ripping them off.

Doubtful, but not positive. Play it safe and don't. There is no need to.

Referals are like if anybody interested than he can go through it , but if your friends just keep signing up and don't use them further than google will catch them as fraud referrals and you will not get paid .

why don't you ask people search with the custome search on your for charity, it's better than click on the ads they don't want to see.

but I don't know it's legal or against the Tos.

You can't do that, It is like forcing advertisers to donate. Not very charitable at all. Ask your visitors to donate website content instead.

Okay.... so no suggestions or petitions to click on ads for charity. I have two further questions though. If I simply stated on the website that all proceeds of advertising from this site go to a charity does that cross the line?

The final question I have is affiliate marketing. I assume this would be okay because no matter how you motivate a buyer to buy a product, the vendor still have a sale on its books and I would be getting a commission via CJ Affiliate Network. How does everyone feel about that?

What i believe, it is crossing the line...i have seen several websites face trouble with such proceedings. Even though they didn't have such intentions as yours, still it is useless taking a chance....

You can encourage clicks as subtly as you like but at the end of the day if people are not buying things then your clicks will become worth less (worthless)

If you are so convinced that your visitors are very targeted to being charitable then put a paypal donate button up (then watch in amazement as no one donates because you sales copy is not gearing them up to donate and your visitors are not visiting your site with the intention of donating in the first place)

Of course you can't. You will get banned for doing something like that. Don't do it.
Do you think AdWords advertisers care about charity and would waste money for nothing in return?
