A bunch of sites is more beneficial but they also need more maintenance..

Dont put all the eggs in one basket is what i feel...so make a bunch of sites and spend time in maintaining them

Make 1 Big site and a few medium sites. One site making $100 a day and 10 sites making $10 a day each sounds like a plan to me.

A bunch of small sites would require alot of work, as one site would need much less attention. You would probably earn more from a bunch of sites with advertisement, but on the final sale, I think one big site would be much better.

I agree with rockymountainexperience. I think it's better to have a big site or two and then a few small ones. That way if anything happens one, you'll always have a few to fall back on.

In my opinion, it does not matter which one you choose, unique contents is that matter :)

Depends what that one big site is, and what the bunch of small sites are.

That "big" site could be - Google/Yahoo big...or it could be much smaller
That "bunch" of small sites - could be 100 small sites earning $10-20/each per day.

One is lots better, hosting would add up to heaps with little sites.

    It all depends

you could own 100 sites, and yet my one site would make 10 times more money than yours, and vice versa

I think he means... 10 '$1 a day' sites or 1 '$10 a day' sites. So total money and worth is the same but different amount of sites.

I would go for 1 big. And then from the profits of that site, you can start to build the second one.

I suggest you focus on one site and build it up over time. Blogs are very easy to make money from providing you have a good market for your site and it is not over saturated.

Ensure you do research before you jump in to the game and make sure your motivated to do well in that market.

Another vote for 1 or 2 (or 3) big sites instead of lots of little ones. Personally, I feel that 3 is a good number, because it allows time to devote content/maintenance for all 3, yet you aren't putting all your eggs in one basket. I have a real fear of spending too much time on projects that don't go anywhere, so that's why I have 3.

Depends on what you are doing. If its a blog, 1 good site, as it'll tax your head to keep it up. If your advertising for others with the expectation to make some money, I'd go with as many sites as you care to do SEO on.

I prefer one big website. Because if we focus on one, we usually gets more. The bigger the website, the more better it usually ranks in google.
