    hi!!!! everybody we are creating a new social networking site so i wanna tell about my site to related discussion forums........ if i tell na sum forum site was banned my post i dont know the reason???? how can i tell about my site to discussion forums???

    You are asking about forum marketing in a directory forum. You'd be better asking in the marketing forum.

    Forum marketing can be effective if done well. It is likely you were banned for appearing like a spammer.

    Writing quality posts and establishing yourself in a forum is key. Then you can use your signature link, article links and slip your link into quality posts to build some backlinks.

    For example

    "Gaming Forums"

    If your site is social bookmarking sites, you shall post in related forums. It's useless to post here, since this is a webmaster related forum, and the referred visitors to your site are not targeted traffic.

    jacobworld's said it! You need to prove to be a valuable member of the forum, for the webmaster to tolerate your advert. But some forums aren't that strict so you can always leave your link on your signature (as opposed to spamming the threads). This is also helpful in terms of backlinks. Otherwise, you can always just pay for a banner space on the forum. :)
