What sort of size are your sites? I run two blogs at the moment which are of course high maintenance and low revenue, but I'm looking at expanding into static content sites. Any ideas to get started would be appreciated.

Congrats my friend and well done on being patient for 2 years and letting it grow. Can I ask you in what stages it increased like how much you were earning after 6 months, 1 year, year and a half. I am just interested in what figures I should be aiming at, thank you !

Thx a lot for your compliments people!

I'll try to summarize the answers to the latest posts:

1 - I have a large number of static sites, still those are not great earners, mostly because they lack content. I prefer using "wordpress" as a CMS, evne though I don't blog a lot, at least I don't talk about what I eat and how I sleep.... Worpress is a great platform to manage articles, images, etc... tbh, the best I've seen.

2 - I was earning very little after 1 year, in fact I have only received my first check after 1 year. Since then I have received $$$ every month, from a few hundred bucks to the current 4 digits.

3 - Most of people here forget about the "sandbox effect", and that is a real thing. I have over 20 sites that are now waking up to life... I wonder 6 months from now...

**ACT! Stop reading and start acting. It's not impossible, still it takes hard work and patience**

True. I just passed the 80 site mark myself but I don't use Adsense except for about 10-15% of my ad space and only as filler on my sites. I was making $1K+ per month in Adsense for almost a year and then I got banned unfairly last November, I appealed and was reinstated but they confiscated two months of earnings :-(

So now, I try to keep my Adsense at low enough of a level (under $500 per month) that way if they pull the same thing on me again, at least I won't be crying over spilled milk like I did before last Christmas.

About how long did it take for your sites to become "un-sandboxed"?

    By the way,
    Congrats!!

My website with free stuff online was making around $1,800/month until about two months ago where dramatically decreased to about a couple hundred a month. Natural search results went from 300-400/per day down to about 30-40. I have no idea what has happened??????? It's very frustrating when this kind of stuff happens.

What's interesting is during that time frame my PR went from 0 to 2????? Maybe it will make up sooner or later. All I know is that SEO and Link Building are the most important thing you need.

Any suggestions, or just more link building for more keywords with anchor texts like this..... free things online .

Depends on what keyword you are targeting, its said that, more the competitive keyword, more time it takes to come out of the box!

am waiting for months now for one of my website to come out of the sand box, also that was a nice lesson learnt, now i don't optimize my new sites in the first few months of it's existence!

All of my sites are WP.
All started thinking I will sit and forget, then I get nightmares that they have stopped ranking and I keep adding articles.. I outsource some, but I prefer to write them and I write a lot..

Good that I own 3-4 sites in every niche I work on, so I can update three sites at a go.. I just spin the articles manually.

Only pain is when WP comes with an upgrade..
Last upgrade one of my good sites (20 a day) got screwed up.. Had to call helpdesk to recover from backup..

Try to analyse what keywords you have lost the ranking for.
Include that keyword in the title.
Get a few back links from RELEVANT sites , not DP..
Use those keywords as anchor. Try to add a word ot two so that the anchor text are not all same..

I don't link from DP unless i want a quick indexing.

I buy lots of links, and i don't want a link back to site from a page wher I say I wan to buy links, becuase I keep forgetting to uncheck the Show Your SIgnature Button

    Submit to BOTW or yahoo

Let me know why you got banned. I also own a lot of sites.

I never do anything against google, but i don't wanna get banned..
The only boundary case I have are some video sites.. The CTR and earnings are so good, I just can't remove the ads from there..
    What did you do?
