Hey, I'm 16 and well summer is about to start and I basically don't have much to do so I have a lot of free time. So I was wondering, how can I make some money? I'm currently trying bux.to which I have earned over $165 but since they're so slow at the cash out I haven't spend anything else on them. Also I'm running the Gomez Peer right now hopping to become an active peer and get paid monthly. Since my computer is always on I suppose I will get activated and could make around $35 in profit every month. So, I was wondering...What can I do to earn some extra money? I have some skill that could be put to work: I'm a fast typer Good grammar I used to do some PhotoShop ( I'm rusty atm ) I'm a good forum admin/mod but I'm currently not running anything by myself I know some HTML I have a lot of free time So, could you guys give me some suggestions that could bring me some money and a hobby for this summer? It would be great if it could be something of long term since I'm a senior next year and I won't have much studying to do
1. Start blogging on your favorite subject. 2. Look for jobs, in the BST section on this forum. 3. Since you know some HTML, you could master it with XHTML and CSS and build websites. If you want, you can later sell them off. It depends on how, you work. I'm in the same category as you, trying bux.to and Gomez Peer. It isn't easy to make money online, but once you know the "secrets", then sky is the limit! Best of luck!
Hey, you sound like you should read my site, it is for teenage money makers, maybe you'll find something you like. Also, i am going to be hiring 1 article writer in a week or 2 are you interested? this is the site Thanks, Zach
Sorry for being n00b but, how can blogging help my situation? Adding Ads? I'll need to get a lot of traffic to get some $$. And to get some traffic I need to pay for advertising or spam the link everywhere and that will get me in trouble. Can you be more specific in this aspect? Buy, Sell and Trade? I'll have a look. Which is the best website to learn? W3 Schools? Thanks for the reply man.
Hi friend only way to make money online or offline is two one is sell stuff or service two is do a job job is stressful .. and hard to get one .. and it depends on ur qualification and experience.. (why would they take you? are you any good at anything?) selling stuff or service is business.. and business needs investment.. how will u get the product to sale? how will u build service that ppl will purchase? you cannot sale affiliate products here in dp or anywhere in web.. only think u can do is link spam.. in signatures in search engines in myspace in link exchange in ppc etc.. which few on earth gets success and the their is no gurantee of any income.. other then some adsense clicks.. so its gambling your time or money(PPC) and even you get 50k or 100k traffic. you will hardly make anything.. and its not continous.. so hard to make a living like that giving you idea.. just check buy sell thread in dp and go to sitepoint marketplace.. or ebay or anywhere.. ppl who are making a tons. are the ppl who sell sell and sell all day.. in offline world .. u can start a shop and get products of others and start selling.. if u have taken the location good.. and ur product is food or medicine.. then there is hope that you will make continous income in online world... even the top dogs.. software companies web application developers struggles to make continous money.. as there is no gurantee of sales.. and demand shift very quickly.. example a guy makes an ebook about a secret.. 100s of ppl buy it.. the guy now have no secret and the book is available freely in black hat type forums.. to make you more nurvous.. even u join gambling pharmacy adult etc affiliate programs.. u just get banners and links.. nothing else.. and even you buy traffic from choker or trafficholder or marketing3fn adtoll adengage. etc there is 90% chance your campaigns will go to a loss..... SO come on now.. face the real world no qualification? no job no product or service? no business.. and no guru can teach any secret..as guru himself struggling to make money
Why couldn't you find freelancing jobs? I am also going into summer break, and I will also be a senior next year as well. I am currently working as a freelancer for a web design company, along with working on 3 different web design projects for people. I am also starting up a blog about web design, plus I am running a gaming-niche forum (I don't plan to monetize it, but it's just something I have). If you are serious about making money doing freelance web design, which is what I would highly suggest, as the pay is phenomenal and you'll make more money from freelance web design than from ads on some blog, I would suggest trying to make some small sites for local businesses. Once you have done some sites, either free or for a low fee, build up a portfolio and put it online. Once you have an online portfolio, you'll have a lot more to show to prospective clients, and you could be well on your way to becoming a professional freelance web designer, maybe even into college if you can keep up with it.
# I'm a fast typer # Good grammar # I used to do some PhotoShop ( I'm rusty atm ) # I'm a good forum admin/mod but I'm currently not running anything by myself # I know some HTML # I have a lot of free time That isn't any good?
Well Ascendancy my knowledge of HTML is very limited so I doubt I could make a website or web design out of it...I can edit templates etc but it's been so long since I made a website I doubt I can take a request for it...
Well I would suggest getting back into it. If you want to make money online, it doesn't hurt to know some web languages. If you were to start a blog or a forum, you would need to know HTML, CSS, and possibly PHP if you wanted to edit templates and such, so why not start learning now? You say you've got nothing else to do over the summer, and it's not like anything bad can happen from learning.
if you have a few old site kicking round you can put up a few banners an earn £75 a month just check it out in my sig link bellow. easy to set up an to do also not time consuming
I would suggest starting back with HTML. Brush up on that and get down to the basics, and once you think you have a good grip on that move onto XHTML and CSS, which is used for layout out pages. Once you think you have that down good, I would suggest moving onto PHP. This is the backend language most online scripts like Wordpress or osCommerce are written in. As for websites, just google around. I used to learn from books i bought at borders, but w3schools is a handy reference. Try checking out tutorials sites like pixel2life.com, they usually have some nice articles.
Thanks Stevo I will upload my old website then. But I no longer have a domain name so I doubt I will get accepted. I think I will go to Borders tomorrow
Your writing is pretty good. I'm sure you could find some writing jobs over the summer - you could make a quality article writing service - $30/*good article* seems to be the going rate nowadays, or so I've heard.
