My website please rate it had a full revamp about 4 weeks ago and is getting about 800+ visitors a day but something isn’t right as I am not getting many forum members. Please could people review it and see what you think is wrong and give me your full thoughts, also a rate out of 10 would be good as well www.mkpitstop.co.uk is the website I have had reviews from other websites but I always think it is best to get as many as I can. The website looks fine and clear to read. Links to forums seem quite visible too. But from experience, forums take a long time to attract members. you get a lot of people peeking in and reading, but they don't register for a while... I actually find myself doing that - i visit a while, read, and only join some time later - but i cant explain why this is so. As i said, you site is fine ; 8/10.
Looks fairly clean. For better results move your adsense ad from out of the banner. Though it does look 'seamless' and blends right in, it might do so too much. Embed it in your content in the top 5% of your main page. Looks nice and professional.
Great thank you for the info, moving the adsense from the top do you not think that could make the header look a little empty?
Your page is really neat and easy on the eyes. When I went to check out the forums, my first instinct was to click on 'FORUMS', but you're simply using it as a header. You might want it to link directly to your forums and get rid of the All Forums on the bottom, because as it is, it appears that each forum is a seperate entity, perhaps leading outside of the site -- so I actually felt compelled NOT to click.
good point I will look into that first thing tomoz thank you any other thoughts any one? these have all been great upto now, dont be scared off saying what you think it will all help (meaning when you go on the site does it make you want to read or fall a sleep)
If you want to populate your forum you can visit ForumShock.com they're a bit pricey but it will help
