I don't think there is still any chance that Microsoft will stop "XP" without launching some other OS which is better than it... If they do it, this will be the biggest mistake Microsoft will ever make.

I personally like XP. But if the next computer I buy comes with Vista, I will deal with it.

Vista came on my new puter. Laptop. Now, when I attach my USB 3-1/2 picture floppy, Vista locks if up. That's the only real difference I've noticed between them. I guess that's called progress.

I run Vista on 1 hard drive, but I have a 2nd hard drive that I can switch to XP if I need to run older software. I use vista more and more every day. Service pack 1 really helps.

I would sign any petitions out there to keep XP alive for as long as possible or to be the software of choice. I am not sure if Vista will ever become as welcomed as XP but it still has a long way to go.
