[FOR SALE] File Hosting site (great CPM ratio)

This domain was created August 2005 at GoDaddy (free push to your godaddy account) and sat in my portfolio for a long time. A couple weeks ago I finally got around to designing a logo and template for it.

Files Unlimited has seen very little traffic. I've never promoted it, but I can show the new owner a way to at least guarantee a few thousand uniques a week that takes about 5 to 15 minutes every other day. The best day was 700 uniques and 1200 pageviews, the worst day was 71 visits and 104 pageviews.

I'm not looking for some crazy amount. On average it only makes $.50 to $1 a day. using YPN. But the CPM is a solid 1%, and that's with an average of 100 impressions a day.

The site itself is running on a modified version of a free php file hosting script. It has an administrative back end, and uses no mysql databse - yet it has all the normal features you'd expect from a file hosting script.

It's not a big sale, so I'm not going to spend a lot of time with screenshots and PMing proof of revenue. You can look at my iTrader and rep as well as my previous posts. If that isn't enough to make you feel comfortable with my claims, that's alright too.

Bidding starts at $50 (about two months revenue with no growth in sight).
    BIN will be provided shortly

    *note
It has been submitted to 150 directories using a service provided by a DP member who is quite good. I will supply the winner with the list of the directories it was submitted to. The links are just starting to come in from them. About 15 of them have started referring so far.

CPM ranges from $2.30 to $6.82, but normally falls somewhere in between.

In the description I state I am using YPN (not AdSense), and that this isn't a big enough sale for me to go through the trouble of making screenshots. The starting bid of $50 is more just to cover the cost of the directory submission, domain name and the time I spent designing and coding the layout.

Why in the world do people not just POST the bids here ??? Are they freaking scared or something...

It should be a rule that all offers are on the board and not some mystery person via PM...

Nothing against you Greg your a Great Guy and an upstanding member here at DP but the bids via PM just piss me off....

If your mystery person falls through let me know..Cause I am interested.

The person in question is new, very new, so don't hold it against him quite yet

    I'll keep you posted though.

And thank you very much for the kind words.

I've received some IM's asking how I can guarantee a few thousand uniques a month. I'm not going to disclose the technique, because I don't want it being used by anyone but the person who purchases the site.

But it is very simple, and it's not hard to do. It takes a maximum 5 to 15 minutes every couple days, or if you have a certain program (free) installed, you don't need to devote any specific time to it at all.

I know that sounds a little cryptic, but for the sake of the buyer, I'm not going to let the cat out of the bag.

I will also not be reselling this site. You get the exclusive rights to the design and logo, and I will give the PSD for the logo as well.

    High bid is still $100.

    All,

I am the one who bid $100. Actually, I asked him if I could buy it at this price and he took that as a bid.

I am not scared or anything. I already bought a website today.

    Thanks

It's nothing personal against you Lavee. People, myself included, simply tend to be skeptical of "bids via PM" because often times it is someone artificially inflating the price of the product.

Fortunately, it doesn't take long for people to sniff these types out - and as you'll see here on DP: We may be an all around wonderful bunch - we're a relentless unforgiving bunch as well.

Which is why I am as upfront and forthcoming as possible.

    Auction related:
Lavee currently holds the highest bid at $100. I'm working on another project, so I don't have time to be checking the forums all day right now - so I'll give this one just another day and call it good. If you're interested, I'm going to set the BIN at $200. The quickest way to contact me will be to shoot me an IM (look at the right side of this message).

    -Cheers

I've been IM'd a few times asking about the requirements for the site, so I'll try to clear them up here

It will run on php4 and php5.
    No database is required.

Getting ready to head out for the day. Thought I would mention the site made $3.02 for the day before yesterday (YPN Is always a day behind).

High bid is still $100. BIN is still $200.
