I would say, Do not spend it in the directory industry, this industry is slowly dying. Go for affiliate marketing or start up a website that is new to the world (unique idea)

I wouldn't say the industry is dying. It does need a revamp though.

    What is a good directory?
Those that are capable of delivering the correct visitors (Not the ones that 'look' fancy or swarmed with webmasters). You want heavily targeted traffic that actually buy.

What is a good quality link?
    See above and forget pagerank.

What is a good quality site?
One that delievers perfect on-target traffic to your user base

Why will I grab good deals if I spend slowly?
I doubt you will, as they rarely materialize.

I don't think spending 1K on advertising will get you the results you are hoping for. I could spend that in about 10 mins on the web, and it wouldn't even scratch the surface for a half good PPC campaign for 1 month.

Ironically, PPC is likely the best bet for you, as you don't spend until someone clicks onto your site - so that has some benefits, but you'll automatically lose 25% on click-fraud, another 50% in useless off-target clicks and probably out of the remainder 25% - only 5% will actually buy something. Yes, it's that brutal, but if you are really, truly prepared for that, then PPC is better than other more expensive forms of advertising out there. But at £1.50 to £3.00 per click, it's still damn pricey.

Any other advertising, well if you have a handy regular 70k floating about, magazine advertising is good. 35k for a TV campaign, 10k radio, 20k for Public relations etc etc. But I wouldn't recommend those for they will leave you skint so fast, you'll wish you never heard the word website.

and i dont realy think there is a directory that will give me this.
But i did it because directories help sites climbing up the serps and this will give me visitors that will actualy book online my hotel

There are too many factors about your sight we don't know about to give an informed opinion. Different products/services will benefit more from different methods.(i.e. SEO vs. text link ads)

I don't know what type of Hotel site you have, so it's impossible to advise, then again nobody on here is going to tell you where to submit links, their only goal is to plug their own sites.

Some general links won't hurt, but you really want Hotel type links eg: Your Hotel site on either direct or related Hotel sites. There are a couple of good Hotel directories, you could try the Hotel booking services/sites and related services to the Hotel industry too. But general directories won't help you much and honestly, you'd be wasting your time pursuing those.

You want specialist websites and whichever sites you choose for your links, you will have to pay for anything decent that's for sure. Don't think for one second that you will get anything decent for nothing, you won't. The Hotel sector is flooded big time and is one of the, if not THE largest sector of the Hospitality industry - it is huge, highly competitive and full to the brim with 'Me too' 'wanabee' sites just like yours, all fighting for the next useless link that probably won't do much good.

There are a ton of Hotel booking websites, hotel directories to seek out for links (good luck with that). The Hotels themselves have their own specialist teams and external services to draw on, their own top websites etc. which includes their own knowledge of where to promote, and unfortunately webmasters don't fit in with their needs. Remember that these are professional hotels, many of which belong to hotel groups, and they attack spam with a vengence, so getting their interest will be tough and emailing them requesting links isn't the answer.

But I would try hotel related services for links instead, as they may be more willing to link to any old site. ;) Try the booking services first and then go from there, but expect a lot of rejection! Research and knowledge of the industry will help a lot, but if you don't have that, it's best to shut shop now as you will find this impossible to do properly and won't win the game or make much money.

    :)

Good advice. Affiliate marketing is the best option for most on here and the web. You can make good money eg £4.00 per lead/click, £50 per lead etc etc.

Buy yourself burger and coke, sit down and create a long term marketing strategy for the website. Research the main keyword/phrases you would like to get ranked high for based on keywords in your content. Research potential traffic you can get from those keywords. If content/keywords are not up to par then pay for someone to rewrite content. SEO = long term cheap traffic source

If you only have a few pages of content then write some more professional grade articles or hire someone. Submit articles to article directories.

Get as much feedback on your design as possible....if there's something missing then pay a designer to get it fixed.

Point is focus on the basics first. Do you have a quality website design and content that you would read yourself every day...not too many people do. Invest in this first.

It really depends on how competitive keywords you are targeting... If they are very competitive - go for Google Adwords. Because 1000 in seo is not that much... unless you are talking self-made seo, of course.

Those are all great ways... but I can assure you there are plenty of creative ways to 'effectively' advertise online for FREE! I have several successful online business's that I promote solely for free.

If anyone is interested, I can work with you...
