    hi guys,

I have just been accepted to Google adsense :)

I am very new to all this, so could you please give me an idiots guide of what to expect.

    i.e

I dont get a massive amount of unique IP`s at my site, but i get a lot of the same ip`s returning on a daily basis. If these same ip`s were to click an add perhaps once per day, would google spot it?

roughly how much per click do you get?

what probems am i likely to encounter?

    Cheers guys.

As long as the clicks arent fraudulent, you should be ok.

The amount per click depends very much on the content of your site.

the lowest earnings per click (after you exclude PSA clicks), would be 5 cents a click.

of course, some categories can get more than 100 times that per click. don't count on that, though. ;)

disgust, where does AdSense guarantee a 5 cents per click payout? The lowest accepted bid for an AdWords ad is 5 cents, but with Smart Pricing, actual click-throughs can be less.

Also Google never says what maximum percentage of the click you will get. One might only get a percentage of a minimum. I mean they get a maximum of %25 of anything over 5 cents. Or the (CPC - 5) * .25

They are very vague with their descriptions.

Yep... you definitely can get paid less than $0.05 per click if they are pretty uncompetitive/low paying keywords.

If you have and Adwords account (please note an Adsense and Adwords account are two completely different accounts) you can use it to see how much advertisers are paying for certain keywords to give you an idea whether the keywords you're targeting would be profitable or not. You may find some other niche ideas by doing this.

It really depends on the content. If you are in real estate or mortgages or casinos, you can see good returns, most other competetive stuff is around $.04 per click in my experience. Although, I did have $12.45 click once on one of my homepages that originally saw an average of $.03. Maybe this was a conversion?
