1 Product

I have a client who wants to sell 1 product via his website so I'm obviously not going to use something like oscommerce for this one.

What solutions are there for integrating a credit card payment system for just 1 product. Something along the lines of the paypal buy now button would be ideal.

    Thanks

I would use a paypal button.:) As long as he has an upgraded account he can accept credit card payments or balance payments.

If you need instant confirmation of the payment you can do a postback to your server during the transaction as well which is good for products like ebooks and downloads.

Hmmm, I'm not too keen on using Paypal only as there are a lot of people out there who are trying to boycott Paypal -> www.paypalsucks.com

There are several payment gateway's that have paste in buy now options.

    Is your client US based?

We have one you can demo if you want to see what it does.

    Go to: https://www.merchantequip.com/merchants.php
    Login: mestest
    Pwd: 0fe0c9

Click on Integration and then QuickClick.

You can pretty much make html buttons how ever you want, and it offers the same type of secure checkout system as paypal.

It supports the Luxemburg, Monaris, and Pago International processing platforms as well if your client is not in the US.

Just use 2checkout. All the others seem to preffer it over Paypal. Especially because it supports much more countries, and has lower commisions.

For the UK you could use something like secpay. You just post the information and transaction amount to them so you could integrate a buy it now form button pretty easily.

Obviously this needs a merchant account though.

He's UK based. I'll definitely look into Secpay as I've seen that is one of the best value for money systems out there.

I think protx.com is supposed to have a pretty good reputation as well.

Thanks for all the help guys. :)

Drupal has a product system you can add and it has lots of payment methords that can be used, or you could use a guy like I use and make your very own cart for your needs :)
