The problem is that there are many more sites than 200 which need to be blocked.
You must therefore block only those sites which actually GET SERVED on your site.
Otherwise, you are wasting blocking slots, with sites that will not show up for you anyway.

Site-specific, or niche-specific blocking is required, since you can't block them all.
Although a few sites should always be blocked, like dogpile.com, eBay.com, info.com, shopping.com, target.com, etc.

Google likes the number 200. I wish I had more than 200 channels, as well.

Nowadays many sites are becoming low paying and so the list of advertisers paying less is increasing day by day

Yes, it's truth. You can create your personal list of bad advertisers with help of Google AdSense Preview Tool (https://www.google.com/adsense/support/bin/topic.py?topic=160) or MFA Killer (http://mfakiller.com/).

    Thanks guys,
Hey Surf: You means I need to visit several times my blogs to see which ads being served? or is there any method without visiting my sites to know which ads are served?

doyi - Yeah, it is a problem.

When I see that I am getting 3 cents or less per click on a page, I visit the page, find the URLs, and type them into the address bar. Many times, they are cr@p, such as -
    1. MFA ads
    2. Ads that are less specific than MY page (my page has info - these ads have no info, but a link to another place to search)
    3. Ads full of misspellings, missing words, poor grammar
    4. Ads for everything, like eBay.com, target.com, shopping.com, etc., ALL of which are low-paying.
    5. Ads that are obnoxious, repulsive, or that just plain piff me off
Any ads that fall into these 5 categories immediately go into my "Competitive Ad Filter" blocking list.

An advantage of using the 250x250 ad size is that you only have a maximum of 3 ads to deal with. All the other square and rectangular ads are 4 or more.

One problem with this method, is that I see only the ads that Google serves to me. Geotargeted ads for other places, I may never see.

Does anyone else have a better method for finding and/or getting rid of the cr@p ads? I'm listening.

Originally, Google always served the highest paying ads first. This is no longer true. They now mix in cr@p ads, which they have to serve somewhere. They let you decide which ones you can live with, by providing us with the "competitive" filter, which is used not as much for competitors, as it is for cr@p ads. The 200 limit is a problem for many, but not for me quite yet. How many "competitors" can you have? Two? Five? Twenty? They should really call it the "Poor Ad Filter", since that is what it is used for. But that doesn't quite sound as nice.

Does anybody believe this? ---> The higher quality the site, the higher quality of ads that get served.
We should make a new thread for this - I'm sure people have their opinions.
