Read this forum and you will not need a SEO course , the best SEO course is here and testing / working / testing and .... again testing / working :) .

    Good luck !

There are seminars out there but I guess most are in the US and not much in my place in the globe.

With forums, there is a great interaction among different people. Most of the time, wrongly perceived pieces of advice are rebuffed so I think staying in a forum does usually helps you learn.

If anyone claims to give you a "24 hrs for becoming a great SEO", I would say they are fake.. There no such course that can make you an expert.
Keep reading the forums, know what are the basic SEO practices. I would say there are no written rules here as the rules keep changing now and then. Its a kind of research and your own experiments will make an SEO out of you..

Another good place to start is Aaron Wall's SEO Book.
