The following images are made available Thursday May 29, 2008, from Survival International, showing 'uncontacted Indians' of the Envira, who have never before had any contact with the outside world, photographed during an overflight in May 2008, as they react to the overflight at their camp in the Terra Indigena Kampa e Isolados do Envira, Acre state, Brazil, close to the border with Peru. 'We did the overflight to show their houses, to show they are there, to show they exist,' said uncontacted tribes expert Jos.

Survival International estimates that there are over 100 uncontacted tribes worldwide, and says that uncontacted tribes in the region are under increasing threat from illegal logging over the border in Peru.

I feel sorry for those people. You only get to live once. Why waste it in the woods without an i-pod?

If you actually mean that, then you obviously have never really experianced living outside, with out technology. Let me give you a brief summary: Its pretty awsome, and neat how much fun it is.

No need to worry about money or any of that stuff, its just you and the elements.

I feel sorry for those people becuase it will be our "humane" civiliztion that will destroy where they live.

It works both ways. Some people have a great life and are happy. I feel sorry for them because the word has passed them by 100s of years.

That is correct! They were aiming at the Aeroplane that went over... probably because they have NEVER seen anything like it in their lives.
