Yup the tribe is rare because it is one of the last few uncontacted ones with the exception of these airial pictures of them. There are about 100 uncontacted tribes worldwide with over have in either Brazil or Peru.

You can view a few of these pictures at www.survival-international.org

I find this really interesting, the fact that their could be a whole tribe of people just been discovered in this day and age is surreal. I wonder what they must have been thinking when they saw the helicopter haha, I saw in one picture they were shooting arrows at it.

Yup it is for real that there are still tribes out there and no outside contact other than plans or coke bottles falling from the sky into their fields or forests. As far as money, money for who the tribes or the guy with the website. As far as I have there are no google ads et cetera. With the exception of a donation page and a link to a store. So maybe if your curious do a wee bit research to see if the site is a hoax or what not.

I always wondered how these uncontacted tribes would react if they saw modern technologies or just modern life, it would probably be a very awkward day for them. It would probably be equivalent of us finding out that we live in the matrix.

Better yet the Europeans need to stay away just as much considering who conquered them as well as much as the language they speak outside the tribes. Remember the Europeans already did their damage control for serveral centuries.

The dominant export/import indeed maybe the US. But many follow behind. In fact one of the pressure groups is the Catholic Church within Brazil. In fact China influence in Brazil worries the US. A report from the BBC

    Brazil Stats
    Imports - partners: US 16.2%, Argentina 8.8%, China 8.7%, Germany 7.1%, Nigeria 4.3%, Japan 4.2%

    Exports - partners: US 17.8%, Argentina 8.5%, China 6.1%, Netherlands 4.2%, Germany 4.1%

In fact the native tribes barely even taken into account for ethnic groups:
Ethnic groups: white 53.7%, mulatto (mixed white and black) 38.5%, black 6.2%, other (includes Japanese, Arab, Amerindian) 0.9%, unspecified 0.7%

    Peru Stats
In Peru its a little different
Amerindian 45%, mestizo (mixed Amerindian and white) 37%, white 15%, black, Japanese, Chinese, and other 3%

    Exports - partners: US 24.1%, China 9.6%, Switzerland 7.1%, Canada 6.8%, Chile 6%, Japan 5.2%
    Imports - partners:US 16.5%, China 10.3%, Brazil 10.3%, Ecuador 7.2%, Colombia 6.1%, Chile 5.8%, Argentina 4.8%, Mexico 4%

More of your usual bias and hatred. What does America have to do with this tribe other than provide another opportunity for you to display your hatred of America?

It would be nice if everyone would leave them ( and their lands) alone.. Including the media

I think they should be left alone, but what is the problem with the media? Do you think that they should not report on this? The media is not going there, just reporting on the story and using photos that were taken to prove the tribes existence so that efforts to protect them would be taken seriously as many doubted the existence of the tribe.

The people who need to leave them alone are the illegal loggers.

I really envy those people, no taxes, no worry about high gas prices, nobody selling crack on the corners, they don't have to worry about inflation, and are ignorant about nuclear proliferation. I'd go down there myself if I wasn't afraid of getting thrown in a pot of boiling water and eaten.

I can't believe uncontacted tribes still exist in the world in this age of satellites, space travel and internet.
