Ezinearticles resource box question? Does it still count as a backlink

Ezinearticles does not allow links back to your site within the body of your article and only in the resource box.

Does this still count as a backlink if the link back to your site is in the resource box?

Guitarbinge is right. You are allowed 3 backlinks as well, so this is a good opportunity to get some deeplinks.

The main purpose of Ezine articles and any other articles site really, that they give you a backlink in return. Thus making backlinks easier while building more traffic to your website.

Thanks. I have submitted multiple articles to ezinearticles.com.

On sites like squidoo.com and blogs you are able to link back to your website within the body of your article and keywords relating to your website. I was assuming the links had to be in the body of the article.

Yes they count for backlink but if i'm not mistaken ezinearticles only allow 1 URL on the resource box.

when the publisher uses your article the resource box is also published, all links in it are published.

I hope today Ezine will help you to get traffic, but the backlinks have not much value...

    Yes, they are back links.

Not sure, but I think you can have a link in article body if your article is like 700+ words, and you include the link in the last paragraph.

Zafar. I only get traffic from ezinearticles. When I've submitted to other article sites the traffic has been negligible or non-existent. Do you get traffic from goarticles.com?

When you start submitting the same article to multiple article sites, you can eventually start running into a duplicate content problem. I think Google can/will eventually filter out the extra versions and cause those links to lose value.

The constant freshness of the links can temporarily improve rankings, but might not provide lasting value. But continually submitting articles might be a good practice. This article gives a nice insight into how Google might read links: http://www.seo-scientist.com/unconventional-link-attributes.html

    See this link:
    http://ezinearticles.com/editorial-guidelines.html

    see point no. 2 f

Note that ezinearticles does not allow link in the body in the first 3 paras and in the last para of the article.

I put 3 links in the article, 1 in the body and 2 in the resource box and there is no problem.

Yes as long as your link is live it's still a backlinks. But the question is, does the outbound link from ezine uses dofollow?

no one has discussed that perhaps on duplicated content they google doesn't count backlinks? just because ezinearticles.com give you link, who says it counts? i admit if your article is on 1 site it counts, but if you submit to 10 sites, do you truely get 10 sites? show me proof, provide article you wrote and show the backlinks.
