I would definitely take 100 quality links over 10,000 no quality links.

If the overall effect of 10 000 is the same as 100, I would take the 10 000 simply because link comes and go , losing 10 out of 10 000 does not affect much but losing 10 out of 100 is going to be drastic

Agreed...I would rather have a couple relative links then many non-relative links to my site.

I'd take the quality links hands down. Oh, and wisdomtool, you're working with different percentages in your example. ;)

Change pagerank for related links from authority sites and I'd take those every time, hell I'd take them over 100,000 crappy links.

Don't focus on PR though, PR doesn't equate to rankings. Look for links from related sites.

I'd most certainly take 100 good links over 10,000 bad ones, because if they truly are good, they'll bring traffic as well as good link power.

Depends on ones definition of "crap links" and "good links." In the absense of this information, I would likely say good links. :)

ofcource 100 good links. if you just targetting pr only, than 10 back links with PR 5 also works great for your website rather than 10 k crappy back links.

What do you mean by crappy pagerank? I would take 10000 PR0 links if the pages have good traffic. Don't worry about PR all that much. I use PR for buying/selling my services, links and website but everyone knows that PR doesn't mean traffic.
