    I don't understand the point of this thread. In any event, I don't think there are very many ways you can "spot" a millionaire, even if they are driving a nice car......well, if they are driving a Maybach you can assume they are rich.

    Many of the rich people are rich because they don't waste their money. For example the texas oil well owners. Jeans and a t-shirt.

    Very good point. There is flash and there is cash. Sometimes they go together but frequently do not. That is true everywhere not just in Texas.

    Before I even read your post I thought of an old man I met in the backwoods of Texas when they were drilling a well on his property. He was in dressed in overalls and reported to be quite wealthy.

    You can't judge a book by its cover. :)

    I'd pictured an middle aged guy driving ancient landrover with mud inside and out, pale blue pants pulled up to his ribs going to Pak'N'Save.

    I know too many people in the finance industry who tell stories of clients with all the flash and none of the cash = and they invariably go to the wall or the stress ruins their health.
