3 Way Link Exchange Networks - Any Good with Google?

I'm a bit confused by this issue. Their are networks that when you join (at a monthly fee) they place your site on a 3 way link exchange with other site and they do it progressively so that it you don't get huge back links within a short time span . Are these networks going against google TOS?

The network in my signature is doing fine for me. No reciprocals but only 3 way there.

Well.. I've been using that network for quite a long time and I haven't been harmed by Google so far. That network helped me to achieve some very good positions for high volume words in serps. But I don't know.. I am advertising strong sites only there (pr6+). But I think there is no risk for the weaker sites as well unless you are not overzealous with gaining backinks.
Do it slow and you'll be fine.
There may be some risk probably though - it is a link system after all

That is very true.
I have separate sites groups for that aim.
- I give links from the sites I do not care much about how they rank.
- I get links to my important sites and never place any outbound links on them.
That is the main indea of the network.
You can not expect high-quality links there for sure. But you can get tons ... which often helps.

 

for my self I use three sites to my links building - and its all free!
1) linkmetro.com not easy to use (for me) - but good
2) gotlink it better then linkmetro - they make it automatic - i dont have to add link to my site - they make it! in 3 days i get 113 link exchange!

I look a lot of time to find good free link exchane site i register to alot - but this is very good for me they have 6129 Members that use this free servis.
3) 3 way link this is the best becaus its free and also its 3 way link, and because the websites links will grow slowly day by day because they want it to appear natural to the search engines.
i use it and now i have 11 link out from my site and 11 link in to my site , but the best think it not reciprocal links ' its 3 way link! and free
