No, this is not a hyperbole. Watch for yourself. I'm not sure what I'm more disgusted by: her disgusting remarks or the glib way the "journalist" interviewing her reacts to them. er.. Sontributer is of course Contributer. Weird typo there.
I don't see how there could possibly be any "context" to such a statement. She says she wishes Obama would be killed and then laughs maniacally. Liz Trotta is her name by the way. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,34775,00.html
This is ridiculous, isn't there some media authority to control such irresponsible remarks? What if some goons take up the challenge and really proceed with the assassination?
We'll she is just a bit scary. Looks like a little slip of the tongue that shows how she really thinks.
In my opinion FOX news has a lot to apologize for, but if anyone needs to apologize in this case it is Liz Trotta. She was a guest speaker and said something pretty stupid, but why should FOX apologize for that?
Seemed like a slip of the tongue to me. Now if she had gone on a tirade about it and they didn't cut her off they might have something to apologize for. As much as I dislike FOX, I really don't think there is any need for them to apologize.
They should issue a disclaimer, something like: We use "Fair and Balanced" as a marketing ploy, in no way are we either Fair or Balanced. Or better yet: We are not responsible for the loss of brain cells that may result from watching our program.
She could be talking about anything prior to the soundbite & what she actually says sounds like a joke to me after listening to it again, you don't really think she is calling/wishing for an assassination of Obama do you?
