Personally, I am not a big fan of Godaddy, although their prices are good. Over time I have tried many of the different registrars, but my favorite is Enom.
I think godady is the best, now i become their super reseller(domainrica.net)the prices is low. I always register in domainrica.com
I have purchase one domain at Godaddy, and after a view day when i need to purchase/checkout another domain, it said my card is invalid. That's why i choose namecheap is the best for me.
The words that don't match for domain names are : 1. GoDaddy 2. Best GoDaddy is indeed best but best for marketing and not for registering domains It's an average registrar with overpriced popularity due to his commercials First of all i don't think there is anyone best to this area (one large, smaller.... according to the number of registrations) Second GoDaddy showed great irresponsibility and visual symptom of the white crusader, protector of the universe, internet .... Check www.NOdaddy.com As many people said before i too believe name.com is better
Could it be Namecheap is not that cheap? Namecheap: "Register your domains for just $9.29" Price list: http://www.namecheap.com/domain-pricing.asp Luckily Namecheap seems not being using GoDaddy's fine print: GoDaddy: "Domains $9.99/year & Lower" (+ $0.20 ICAAN Fee) And there is not full price list, have a look https://www.godaddy.com/gdshop/site_map.asp?ci=8925 There is a pricing policy explaining why their prices are "so low," but without pricing list hard to find if they are so low and I have been with GoDaddy for 3 years now and I have no idea of pricing for extensions other than common ones. SUMMARY PRICING LIST: From expensive to cheaper Namecheap, www.namecheap.com/domain-pricing.asp MyDomain, www.mydomain.com/pricing.php Dynadot, www.dynadot.com/company/prices.html Domainsite, www.domainsite.com/check_our_pricing.php 1&1, http://order.1and1.com/xml/order/WebHostingDomaininfoPricelist Hmmm... looks like Name.com has not a pricing list either but it's the cheaper offering COM and NET domains for $5.99 a years... no ICANN fees + Free Google Apps
Netfirms and Yahoo offer best deals but a real pain if associate with their hosting packages. Chances are you lose your domain if the hosting is not renewed, just happened to me with Netfirms. With Yahoo (similar pricing) I found it was easy transfer your domain away, but if you miss to cancel your account, you will be charged at regular price (about $10) the following year regardless you have moved away your domain.

I love godaddy, never had a single problem. i have 114 domains in cashparking making me an average of $21 per day. Their features, well they have everything. I like to search for their coupon codes and get my discounts too. never had a locked acount in my 5 years with them. I ahve dedicated, sahred hosting, traffic blazer, the works.
I had a few domains at GoDaddy that expired before their real expiration date, but support was never supportive. In another issue, I had an ownership problem after GoDaddy took over RegisterFly domains and once again nothing but asking for details that only RegisterFly could provide me with, but RegisterFly database was not working then. Both issues were resolved by giving time to time until such domains were deleted and I was able to get them re-registered. After the takeover I was given with additional goodies including Website Tonight, Traffic Blazer and other products, most of which I found hard to setup or take advantage of. Furthermore, I was making good parking money at RegisterFly's parking facility for free, so I wouldn't pay a membership to GoDaddy even if that gives me in return parking money because there are many others companies to park your domain at no cost. What gives you the money is your domain name's quality, though it would be interesting discover if GoDaddy pays more for clicks, pop ups and impressions than other companies
Godaddy is the cheapest domain registrar I think, cant find registrar which is cheaper than them. BUT, they provide the slowest registration that's what I know. You can take even up to 3 minutes to register a simple domain.
Read my review above on this thread http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showpost.php?p=7910631&postcount=31 GoDaddy is not the cheapest registrar but one of the cheaper among the expensive ones, plus they don't have a pricing list so you can compare them with others, not to mention that misleading practice of adding the ICANN fee at checkout.
Quoted for truth. Personally, I'm in love with Dynadot. All of my domains are with them barring the $1 GoDaddy .info's I have for my proxies.
Hey I missed that quoted post about GoDaddy's being the largest registrar. I believe the largest is 1&1 with 7.4 million contracts, not sure if that figure includes its sister sites Sedo, GMX, Fasthost and a few others. What I do really love of Dynadot, back on bauerdude's topic is Dyandot's great support service and currently the only registrar still offering CN domains for $2.99
