I just wrote an interesting Adwords optimization tehnique, i found recently.

Anyone care to help me if this brakes the rules, for sure ? Or is it interpretable ? Or what ? :)

Entered it, hope I this does not break the rule; do you really think it will increase CTR?

That is definately interesting, but I wouldn't risk it. Google will eventually stop it.

    from https://adwords.google.com/select/guidelines.html:

I think that counts as unnecessary symbols.

However, Google has got to have noticed that pople are doing that, I have seen it on a few searches. But noone seems to have done anything about it.

    This is highly interpretable.

Who the hell decides what's unnecessary ? And why should that symbol be unnecessary ? :)

That symbol coveys no information - it is merely to grab attention. Kind of like unnecessary exclamation points etc which Google already filters.

I think it will only be a matter of time before Google starts pursuing this one.

I've put it in my ads and the very next day I got a warning of invalid ad because of punctuation. So I guess they do check it.

I verified with my account rep yesterday - it's not permitted. You may get some play on the search network before it's reviewed by a person...but they will yank it when they catch it. I won't risk testing it - seems like a good way to get your account flagged.

I'd really like to try that with a few of my ads but I guess i'm worried about the consequences aswell. I'm still gonna think about it though :)

This is kind of strange. I only have one ad for this particular group of keywords and yet it's swaping out the insterts for the previos ad on every couple of searches.
