Hi everybody, Do you think GoDaddy is the best domain registrar? I think it's a little bit overloaded with too many features, that makes the usability very bad. Which domain registrar do you use? I have some domains registered elsewhere, should I transfer them to GoDaddy, what do you think? How do I transfer them? Regards.
It's a good registrar with relatively cheap prices. It's hard to say if it's the best but it also profits from the enormous amount of users they have because it is very easy to push a domain in somebody else's account. Furthermore, you can constantly register your names for about $7 per year at GoDaddy.
It is very difficult to define what is best, speed, price, add on features etc? For me, in terms of responsiveness and helpfulness I think webnic.cc is the best.
My domains are at Dynadot, com Reviews: NamePros, com rates Dynadot 4 out of 4 stars in features, value, usability, and customer service. This front page logo does sum up its user friendly services!
Godaddy has one downfall - the domain stealing at time of registration, happens all the time, you search the available domains with their tool, it's available, you checkout and pay for it .... then it gets taken away from you after payment .... go figure .... then you have a look at time of registration and oh golly gosh - it's coincidently at the same time that you ordered it .... mmmmm .... oh and a few days later guess what you can buy it back from them !!
LOL.....no. By best in terms of security & reputation in the domaining industry, Moniker is the best. If you want cheap & reliable, I'd go with Name.com
Dream on... there are no "best" registrar on the Internet. There are good registrars but none of them is perfect and GoDaddy is far from being the best though one of the most renowned and owner of one of the largest customers database. And yes, I have many domains registered at GoDaddy (as in other registrars), but I can't say this is the best... for me it used to be RegisterFly and all of you know how that story came to an end
Domainsite is another great registrar offering cheap prices, free Google Apps and private registration as low as 50 cents. Best of all, you can create nameservers and modify DNS settings on-site. I have been two delay issues transfering to a couple of domain names, but support helped me out to complete the process
for me Domain testing - dynadot.com Bulk domain register / renewals - mydomain.com .info - godaddy.com / mydomain.com Cheap domain - name.com Security - moniker.com Hope this help.
