Hi, im simon basically a friend has been telling me about this forum, and seems the ideal place to start. I'm looking to start up a couple of proxies and maybe a games website in the near future, ready for launch early to mid august time. then if they go well ill look to set up some more. so basically im looking for tips and advice on how to set up the sites, where to get domains/hosting from and just the general basics on making these sites and how to get as much money as possible from them. thanks guys and i hope you can help simon
So , you mean websites? Well, firs of all, you need the domain. Get one at godaddy.com or name.com. Then you need a hosting. Well, you can start off with a small cheap pack, and if youre site goes good, you can upgrade. I can recomend www.spacehostv2.info for the hosting, start with the free package if you want, and just play around with some scripts you can find on internet. thanks rob, heard of godaddy and i think ill probably use them as they seem pretty cheap. and ill be sure to check out spacehost yup, websites. i have a plan of getting up 2 proxy websites and a games website mid-late august, then im hoping they will pay for themselves, then if they are successful enough i will use the money ive made from them to buy even more proxies/games websites around christmas time. then hopefully the profit will be rolling in. and i can keep getting more and more websites. would that be realistic? thanks again simon
Hi I have a large number of proxy related domain names at the moment and some are up for sale. You may also have a problem getting a host for your proxy sites as the site are very BW hungry. I have had 300 + proxy sites in the past pulling up to 100gig of BW a month. very hungry! but pulled in over $1000 a month.
