I just visited this http://www.codefixer.com/app_linkspro/default.asp The script has same features like PHPLD but it's very expensive.... what's your thought's about that?
Will avoid commenting on the features as there's no need, the only thing that is a problem for me with asp is that windows servers get to be expensive.
ASP .. hmm. NO * Clean crawalable code (XHTML V1.0 Transitional and CSS compliant) Doesn't that depend on the template? * Config font, colors and Directory Banner Looks like they will generate the templates themselves Lots of features that are either standard or redundant !! I prefer to have a customizable script.
On comparitive terms it's expensive that was I meant to say.. We should ask David about PHPLD wiht sqlserver 2000/2005...
They are targeting the customers who hosted under Windows hosting, and since there are few directory script developed with asp, they can be expensive. Let's hope they have a good sales to be alive!
phpLD uses the ADOdb library so in theory it is possible for phpLD to run with most database servers including MS SQL. Whether or not it has been tested is another question, but from the site docs it doesn't appear that it has. PHP on a Windows server with MS SQL is not really a common configuration, in most cases you would only find that set up in a customized environment where in house development is taking place. At least that has been my experience to date.
