One DP user is selling my script without rights...please help

Hi,

I reported this post to mods - http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showpost.php?p=7850140&postcount=62

This user offers my script for cheaper price and he doesn't have rights to do that.

Please help me to stop this.

I'm coder and owner of that script and only I can sell it

He's hijacking your thread - I think they'll be more concerned about that because it's against DP rules (unlike stealing someone else's work).

 

He removed first post where he offered my script for $15
and change it to one that told that my work is junk.

Now he sent me PM:

 

If he wants to play a game with you, go ahead with him. Gather all information and give him a warning first, saying that you're gonna take action(e.g. legal action) if he's not willing to give up. You're the owner and the advantage is always to you.

 

Now he is spamming me with PMs how he is going to share my work for free.
I can't take any legal actions becouse meybe he is not from US

If he is, can I ask mods for his IP ?

And how can I block this user to send me PMs ?

Please help me.

Even though it's edited, there may still be a log in the MySQL database (MAY, unlikely though), oh and theres no way that it's gonna be tracked cause it wil be VERY hard to locate

just report to a moderator and hope he'll get banned for other reasons, 'cause as someones said not sure DP are too worried about theft

So, anybody can see it.
He first told that is nice script and wanted to sell it, and then he changed post and told that is junk.

 

Make use of your "print screen" button, save down every possible information, that will make you stand.

To add him into your ignore list:

Click on his name > add "bblabla" to ignore list.

Anyway I dont think mods will interfere with this.

 

If mods don't want to ban his account, than anyboy can contact him and buy my script.
On that way this forum share warez and that is illegal.

 

The forum isn't responsible for deals between individual members. And sure, you can ask us for their IP.... but we're not going to give it to you. If someone is selling your script illegally privately, we can't, and don't, monitor that. You'll need to take it up with a lawyer between you and the other member. If they start a public thread, and you can prove that no one can get resell rights and that you're the sole owner, send the info to a mod. If the guy is harassing you or spamming you via PM, forward it to a mod.
