Article Submissions.

Since I have done seo, I have never done article submissions.

My question is how is article submission a benefit?

What sites do i submit my article too?

Also on the articles on my site, how do i add a "reply to this article" feature?

Article submission is a link building technique. it is used to get backlinks. with article you should put author biography in which you can mention your site url.

Submit u r article to ezine articles, article base, article dash board, etc

You can also edit your article in future.

If your article is quality enough, other sites may copy your article with your backlink in the footer still attached. It's happened several times for some of my articles.

 

you have the article linking to the site you want to build a backlink to in the footer .... check out ezinearticles.com its probably the best one by far...

 

I'm not sure if this is quantifiable because it depends on niche, quality of article etc, but can someone ballpark approximately how many backlinks they've seen from a single article?

Are we talking in the 10s, 100s, or 1000s, or perhaps even more?

 

Article submission is a great addition to your current link building efforts. Don't rely solely on article submissions, but it definitely does help out.

Why you want to spread it over different different web resources.
Well, articles links does not have any value. i found 4 to 5 good article sites, through you can get traffic...

Otherwise article submissions is worthless.

just to say that articles can work to promote specific aspects of your offer but cannot replace great seo.

I place articles and they have a great and specific response so am happy to continue.

I completly disagree with you, article submissions are an excellent way of generating traffic and backlinks.

I have a site that had 49,000 visitors since I used articles to promote it back in November.

I submitted 3 articles ezine articles then rewote them slightly and submitted it to a load more directories.

Lets take a look at some stats these are the number of clickthroughs from 3 articles I posted at ezine articles

That accounts for just under 9,000 of the visitors. The rest come from search engines where the ranking has been helped by the links from the articles and from links in articles on other sites.

This month alone there are 50 seperate referral links from different sites. all based on these 3 articles and variation of them,

I regularly launch a new site and get 50 visitors a day by the end of the first month the only method I use is article Marketing.

Used right submitting articles work.

It sounds like people have had mixed reviews with article submission, but at the very least, at least it helps build backlinks.

 

Just use EzineArticles.com. Not only will you rank really high in the SERPs for fairly competetive key phrases, but you will get a backlink.

If you're going to submitt to other sites, do a good article to EzineArticles.com and then reword the others so that you don't self-compete with duplicate content.
