    You could probably get the same for about $1000 if you don't mind where abouts you live in London, but equally you could probably pay over $10,000+ month for an apartment in London.

    Yeah, NYC is the same. It's either commute 2 hours in both directions to work in the city, or pay an insane amount to live in the city.

    I'm glad I live in a low cost of living area. Fortunately, I only have to pay $550 per month, i'm in the process of owning it. Housing has went up since I bought it 6 years ago. I have also added a 3rd bedroom. It is now 3 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath, with a Den and Living Room.

    I'm not in an apartment, instead in a 6 bedroom house with 5 other buddies. I am paying $312.50 a month for rent. It is nice that my websites pay for that ;)

    I rent an apartment but dont live at it. Its only been used to party at lately.

    It costs me $500 and doesnt include utilities. It ends up $700 a month total. It has two big bedrooms, large kitchen and large living room. Not too bad.
