Email marketing can be effective but also can get you in trouble with your host and/or registrar for spamming. Have you tried targeted traffic to webmasters? Checkout www.trafficthatsells.com

Your site would be PERFECT for my method - and I would be interested in knowing your results. If you applied what you offer to my system, you'd get a lot of hits. The quality of your site will dictate if they keep coming back - but considering your services, you're probably just fine. That is a rather competitive market and there's at least one thing I know of (that no else seems to know) that will drive serious, rabid, 'always checkin for the newest __fill any niche here__ available' traffic that is monetized every single interaction as well. If you applied what has finally made me successful to your niche, you'll get hits.
Is your templates selling good? If it is, it will be a sign that your template is good enough for you to open a membership site, if not, try to improve your design before starting a membership site. I would not recommend email marketing since your niche have little information to give out unless you are able to come up with free template frequently. Try SEO and link building for keywords since the traffic will convert better.
well i was selling my ebay auction templates pretty good at ebay untill they stopped allowing the sale of digital items. i know i could sell more if I got enough hits. when that lovely rebate check comes i plan on using it to get make more auction templates (picture resources for them)
i was looking into those programs that blast email ads through their programs to millions of visitors a day for a one time fee and then i was looking into buying targeted traffic. i bought untargeted traffic before and people did download my free designs (i have the download links tracked) but no one bought my limited edition ones
That market is pretty full, adwords COULD end up more expensive than it is currently worth there (unless she can create returning visitors) @Sammy - No! Don't buyyy traffic! Not when I am getting that daily for free and can show you how! It could take you 3 months to learn to create, develop, and monetize the traffic that I have created. It could take a year. It took me six months of hard work to figure out, which means with me, it takes you 5 or ten MINUTES. I created my success using this set of questions, or always similar: 1: How can I make money off of EVERY visitor 2: How can I make them remember my site over and over 3: How can I get a LOT of people visiting me without waiting for google to notice my choice in keyword audience? 4: How can I make some money for all of my effort in bringing people to me - whether they buy my products at my full-size sites or not - even if it did only take me 5 minutes to set up each traffic/income stream <3 I answered the questions, and more, for myself, and now for many others who are pleased with the performance of my traffic/$ producing method. The fact that you deal in digital products is great for this system and if you gave my guide a try, I have already taken the time to put together a plan of action for you to try that will show you the power of my strategy (meaning: I have a great thing for YOUR business and I'd like to see you implement it and know how well it worked). And I am not a guru. I'm a normal guy who worked HARD to come up with the EASIEST way to get ahead of the big guys. I'm not even IN search engines but one of my stupidest sites gets 2000+ hits a day, usually over 1000 of which are unique visitors, and I get about a penny per hit - because they CAME for the action that gets me paid - that can be applied to ANY so called 'niche'; any category of life, product, or anything else can immediately profit with me. Pick a subject - you can promote and monetize with minimal effort if you do what I do. Good luck, if you buy traffic I don't think you will be pleased. However if your traffic itself thinks they are winning - you win as well. I hope you the greatest in your business and if you go the route of the loner or the route of the old-ways, I am glad to help you with those too. Something new (like my way) may be all you need to then multiply what I can show you.
