Political website getting 500+ page views a day

I have a political website getting 500+ page views a day. The sites URL is http://nortonrelease.com. How much do you think I could get if I got adsense or some other ad network installed?

 

500 pageviews, at 3-4ctr translates to about 15-20 clicks.

I'm not sure how much the political niche makes, but I'm thinking about 1-2 bucks a day.

Not much if you mainly get John McCain ads.

 

Well yeah you should try ads. 2 bucks a day isn't bad, thats 60 a month. Get another website of the same stuff and youre looking at $160 checks at ur house every month

 

I have a question though. If I used another ad service like Click Bank or something what would I be looking at.

I'd love a different niche but unfortunately I only have another health site and I'm not sure how much that one could net me a month with this type of page views.

 

By ClickBank to you mean to sell political products from clickbank on your site?

 

Sorry I meant Double Click (which is owned by Google now) or Yahoo YPN or some other ad marketing service.

 

Health related site would make more. way more.

and Don't let these other "OH WE MAKE MORE MONEY BLA BLA" fool you. Adsense is pretty much #1. The only way I can see something else being above that is for reviewing sites with affiliate referrals. That will make you more.

 

Well thanks for the info. I have a couple more websites. Which would work better with adsense. A Wordpress CMS or a Joomla CMS. I am thinking the former.

 

I've never used Joomla but Wordpress is amazing if you can write I'm not a writing type of guy so I make my websites the easy way. lol.

 

I'm gonna try both my sites in it. Togather they get 500-800 page views a day. They're www.veganisgreen.com and www.nortonrelease.com

I'll try it for a month and see what happens. Hopefully I get some money

Politics doesn't pay.

my experience my friend, I have had a political blog.
Got digg frontpage many times then they banned me bcoz they said i was copying material which i never did lol.
Anyways I was getting around 5-6k uniques a week and I was making around $20 or so weekly.
Traffic was mostly from Google I tried some PPC but the niche is not paid.
Or may be i got smart priced i am not sure or google is keeping more of the cash for themselves or something i guess.

also i recommend you get traffic from propellers.com good source of politic lovers.
but to me the niche aint that good, i think it is hard to find well paid niches that pay at least 1-2 dollar a click.
may be spyfu.com could help or someone else could share their side of story.

 

Honestly, with any adsense site less is more.

Google will always show the top paying ads first. So if you only give your users the top showing ads at a premium position you will make more and stay away from smart pricing because your clicks/ads shown ratio will be better.

Hypothetically speaking, one would pull about 35c/click off a political site at a 2 - 4% clickthrough rate ... so that makes you about $3.50-$7.50 per day. So that's some decent change, do that then go build some more.

Thats quite little traffic, so you aren't going to make much from Adsense with it.

 

You need have more traffic. 500 pageview is small. You should invest for content and promote website.

 

I want more page views but I'm not sure any other ways to build it up. So far the sites traffic is 100% SE based. I have never advertised this website. And I've never done a link sale or exchange with it.

If anyone could offer me some tips that would be great.

 

It depends on what ads will be showed on your page. But I don't think there are high price ads about politics.
