Phishing attempt at Adsense accounts.

Thought I'd post a warning on here for everyone's immediate attention just in case I'm the first they've tried it on.

Got a very authentic looking e-mail warning me that my adsense account was to be cancelled because they couldn't make payement. The text is below.

The only way to check the authenticity is to hover over the link and you'll see in your bottom browser bar this link..

    http://www.adwords.google.com.foii0ls.cn/select/Login

    DO NOT RESPOND

Sorry if I'm being a drama queen but its the first time I've seen adsense as a target.

If I save one from getting caught out then I've done my job.

Reported it to the mail account it went to as a phishing scam first. Was just on my way to report it to the big G.

    REPORTED.

Me neither, this is the first time I've seen adsense being used and it looked VERY professional. So much so I actually logged in to my shame. Fortunately we twigged when it asked for bank details which is when the hidden name was spotted.

I just hope that I help others because if I can get duped and like to think I'm quite aware then others less conscious could easily fall prey.

Just ignored all of the phishing emails and you will be fine...

Remember to forward them to the Big G bros so they can keep some records on and maybe track them down.

You logged in? That means they have your Adsense log-in details and can access your account. I hope you've taken the proper precautions.

No they can't, we changed the login details in seconds and reported it to Google, but thanks for the concern.

I too recieved this e-mail today.

    1) it referred to AdWords (not Adsense) and I don't use AdWords.
    2) it arrived at an e-mail address that Google doesn't have.

I never respond to these mails anyway so it wouldn't have been a problem.

However, here's a link to a very detailed report on this particular phishing attempt.
