Kespersky is the best. Its the only anti-virus software that really disinfect infected files. And still working perfectly even better after cleaning.

I've benn running AVG for some time at it was nice.
I updated to AVG 8 and removed it after few days. It has some problems, it's heavy and slow. (I'm on Xtreme quad +4GB +Vista64) the online protection poses a thread to webmasters with an invalid useragent.
    check out this at webmasterworld:
    http://www.webmasterworld.com/search_engine_spiders/3615360.htm
What also i dislike is that if you disable some features it give you an icon with warning in the taskbar. I'm very disappointed with this new version.
My teacher was always telling me: if it works, don't touch it! How true.
I'm now testing Avast, and I kinda like it.
Aha! and when i need a second option I run Panda online scanner.

they all are bad and good at the same time except for some resource hoggers.

Any antivirus is good for know viruses. A new virus will infect your system.

" Kasperski Is The Best "

A few weeks back, I hit a forum I frequent. My AVG reported 3 trojans ASAP. I ran CCleaner AVG vaulted whatever was left. 2 friends also went there and said they were safe with Kasperski installed. And nothing showed up. They did scans and K caught 4 on one puter, 6 on the other. I ran 4 scans with some of my stuff and came up clean.

I resell AVG, and I find it to be good. NOD32 wins loads of awards, and is also good.
The rest are mediocre at best imho.

I prefer McAfee and Kaspersky. I do not use AVG and Norton as they delete EXE files rather than cleaning/disinfecting them.
