Changing text size to crunch and explode sites is a nice acid-test.

I'm not sure about you folks, but I'm fairly routine about increasing and decreasing my text size when web surfing.

My choice is to skip the "View" in the browser and just hold the CTRL key while rolling my mouse wheel.

Anyway, it was amazing how bad some websites distort when the font size is altered. I even changed a few things on my own site to limit the destruction to the layout when text is enlarged.

Every now and again, I like looking at other sites to see how good or bad they hold up under text size change.

That's what I mean by crunching and exploding.

On some sites, the menu text or other text will become un-readable when it dissappears or mixes in with other stuff on the page.

Another good example of why not to use image-based navigation.
