    Agree with you,
To get success, one need to do some thing strange, new and attractive so visitors itself come to our website...
    And generate revenue for us.

That's not to say you should spend your days and nights trying to come up with an idea of the next best thing, you'll go crazy and you'll be wasting your time that could have been spent actually doing work to make some money. Facebook didn't set out to become the most popular social networking site, it started out small as a pet project that caught on. If you look at most internet start up stories you'll find out that most of them have that theme in common. Moral of the story is to find something you enjoy doing and if it's meant to happen it will. In the meantime just keep plugging away making money with affiliate marketing, adsense and the likes.

Take for example the online game industry:

Arcades: tons of flash game arcades all over the internet. Still some reach the higher amount of money per month, because they have invested in promotion and offer something that is slighty different, maybe some arcades do the same, but still because they invested in promotion they get big.

Text based mmorpg's: same as arcades. These days everyone has a browser based game, and even worse a mafia game -.- All these games are the same, but by editting the game a bit, making a nice looking layout and promoting a LOT, some get to the point where they earn a lot!

These days you need to have creativity, money and experience!

The internet isn't like a brick and mortar company. Its not a business where you can build it and they will come. You have go into it thinking beforehand how you want to get visitors to your website. This often takes money and time, not just one or the other. Or, at least that has been my experience.

I have a website because I believe in something. My website is more then just a "site" its a reflection of my personality.

Regardless if someone else has done it before you, and regardless if someone else has a bigger site - with some planning and thought, you can build something better then the next guy.

What really matters is your passion on the topic. If you built a site just to make money, well maybe you should re think those kinds of things.

I built my site not only because I have a passion, but because I got tired of looking at all those other crappy sites. In my nitch, almost every site I was a member of lacked something. This site had that, that site had this. I got tired of having to visit all those sites to find what I wanted. So I built my own site.

now days its complete gambling or time waiste..

its not a business any more..

making the same proxies or same arcade or same celebrity or same sex sites or same discussion forums or same cj affiliate site or google mfa sites etc .. over and over... and waisting a lot of time in its promotion only to find the website is very short lived and traffic dried up quick..

 now days its more like an invention business..(which 0.001% can do)

make the next best thing or next hot thing.. and google might offer you million dollar like they did to buy youtube...

:D and scammers who sale make money $1000 quick or within 24 hours ebooks etc tricks.. also are in great trouble now days.. early days they used to make huge amount of money selling hope to ppl.. now ppl have become smarter and smarter..

webmasters mostly missing social respect and a peaceful continous income

many have found there 9 to 5 job or selling real products and service business was way much better and secured residual income

here is an image of a future webmaster.

Try going for long tail keywords...targeting a micro-niche

    Why Breathe?

    Why Love?

    Why Eat?

It's to get by, and because you need to. Many people rely on the internet to suit their financial state. I started Internet marketing 2 months ago, and have begun to quickly make money. I now have many keywords on the front page of google with over 3.7 million search terms without quotes. It all is possible, work hard and don't give up.

    Remember... Why did you post?

Also remember that the market, internet users and website viewers, keeps increasing. China now has more people on the internet than the US, other countries will keep adding to the numbers as time goes by. This market will become how big?

Maybe in the billions....and many of them will be beginners.

It is possible to get a lot of experience in a short time, but also succes can be short.

That's one line which should answer the question.

Only thing is business starts to play a part since we must maintain our passion.

Get RICH online, or make MONEY online; the only reason 99% of the population makes websites (hence most of the SPAM websites). Gone are the days that people make websites to just share quality information (ad free).

You can just make a website for something you enjoy, and money might come later ;-). Emphasis on might.

LOL it's definitely not "luck". The people who are really successful at this are the people who did what they needed to do to get there, whether it was spending money or using their own creative abilities or seeking out people who know what they're doing.

If you want success badly enough you'll get it. If not, then maybe you never really wanted it in the first place.

    Take care.

You answered your own question. If you reckon there's so much junk, get ahead of it with something quality. Junk sites and blackhat seo methods don't last in the long run. Stay consistent and quality and you'll reap the rewards in the long run.

True, but junk still gets ahead if they pay for promotion and I don't
