Well...think back to quite a few of your earlier posts..this might be an indication why so many are ignoring your posts these days.

the bible has nothing to do with god ..

it was written by people to help them to get a better organization, follow rules, have better living conditions, invent "eye for an eye" to stop blood feud, ... etc

 

As most of you know, I'm somewhat of a New Age Christian or "Universalist". I believe ever religion has a core truth within a sea of lies and perversions. One being punished to hell for not believing in whatever prophet.

I don't believe this is possible and I bet in a few threads that you will also see it is not possible. I've never seen a discussion go the other way. I'll start:

If God is a loving God, why does he send you to hell?

 

You are entitled to your opinion. I can't possibly see it that way myself. There is no other book like the Bible. Not even close. It would be nigh impossible for 40 authors to write something like this over 1000's of years and be in harmony all the way through.

why would this be impossible? i dont say that every story in the bible is a lie, but many things were intepreted/decorated by the authors (in some cases) almost 100 years after the event.

the bible was not written in one year by one author. it is a collection of many texts by different authors.

many of the texts did not pass or were banned by the authorities and did not get into the final version of the book.

 

I was referring to other books in regards to it being nigh impossible. Of course, many in the past have said this about the Bible in regards to writing after the events taken place. This is so in regards to Moses. It even says so in the back of my Bible that Moses wrote the 1st five books between 1513 BCE and 1473 BCE and the time period covered in his writings is from "the beginning" to "1473 BCE". Of course Moses wrote these things in retrospect. There were no means of writing these things prior to then.

When talking about books written and not making it into the final version. One scripture must be read: 2 Timothy 3:16 "All scripture is inspired of God". When you think about this. It really means all scriptures in the Bible is inspired of God. Thinking about God's will. He wanted things to be written for a record and he used whatever means necessary for that to happen. Therefore, God has made sure that all he inspired was written down and placed in what we now know as "The Bible". The books that didn't make it must be considered as "not inspired of God". Otherwise, God would have made sure they were in the finished product.

 

(Romans 15:4-6) . . .For all the things that were written aforetime were written for our instruction, that through our endurance and through the comfort from the Scriptures we might have hope. 5 Now may the God who supplies endurance and comfort grant YOU to have among yourselves the same mental attitude that Christ Jesus had, 6 that with one accord YOU may with one mouth glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

That's another Scripture that refers to the benefit from the """"old"""" AND """"New""""" Testament, a bridge so to speak.

 

You are absolutly correct.

Before engaging to answer your post let's lay a basic foundation.

#1 If we believe that God exists, we must believe that Satan exists as well.
#2 Satan's purpose is to mislead away from God as many people as possible.
#3 God desires everyone to be saved.
#4 Religious beliefs + actions = worship.
#5 Worship MUST be pleasing to God, not according to our wishes and feeling but God's will.

(A)-YES- ALL religions do have some truth in them. It would be utterly impossible for Satan to mislead the majority of people if he was using only lies and untruths. It would not be appealing to our hearts.

(B)-YES- A loving God would NOT allow such a place as "Hell fire" where people are tortured forever.

A) Satan knows the Scriptures, but he misapplies them to deceive people.
In Genesis Satan quoted God when deceiving Eve
In Matt, Luke etc Satan tempts Jesus by quoting Scriptures "it is written..." So he uses true/real words from the Word (the Bible) and misapplies to fool folks.

(B) Hell, as Hell fire, torturing "souls" is NOT scriptural, not found in the Bible.
