Pagerank Update Alert

A new site of mine with only one backlink from a single post on a forum is showing signs of going from a 0 to a 2, despite the fact it's only a page with a logo and the word "coming soon" on it??

I don't see any change in backlinks being reported by Google, I am guessing they would do that before they bothered doing a complete toolbar PR update.

 

Hi Phynder.... Even raketforskning.com says that it is not working since Googl only shows a future page rank of zero.... so if you get anything else then they might have reevaluted not to show future (live) page rank but I doubt it!
Like Google say on their TOS, do NOT use software/applications to check rankings.... but I guess, if it is so important, go ahead and check

 

And if I break Google's TOS, what exactly is going to happen? Heck, I check competitors' rankings with these tools - so I hope they go after people who use the tool!

No red rep from me. Not sure why you got it. I actually appreciated your post because without it I might not have noticed that my tartaneye site was going from a PR0 to a PR2. It actually shows as a PR2 on the toolbar now, despite Google showing no backlinks for it when using the link command whatsoever.

So I'm sorry to hear you get red reps - not got a clue about the politics/reasons behind it all - and thanks again for the info.

its extremely easy to get red rep if people disagree with your view, regardless if its based on fact. suppose it explains my red, ps no chnage for me on any of my sites

Something's happening.

Based on a small number of observations on sites I'm familiar with :

One new site has gone from PR2 to PR0.
A 1 yr old site has gone from PR3 to PR2.
5 yr old site has gone from PR3 (been PR3 for over a year) to PR4.

 

Hmm, none of my new sites are showing anything, despite the fact that some future rank prediction sites had been predicting decent numbers before they went all to 0.

Speaking of which: any tools out there now that can do any sort of pagerank prediction?
