dear all: I am non-US affiliate. Regardless of my location, i've earned nice commission via affiliate marketing with customers from all over the world. Ah, it's the wonderful internet, your business is not restricted to your area. and Yes, I also earned commission via eBay affiliate program via BANS sites with a US partner. However I am suprised the team at eBay Partner Network doesn't get this. I, like many other non-US affiliates faced constant auto rejection when we applied to eBay affiliate program. It was happening when they are with CJ, and still happening now as they have an in house affiliate program. One of my friend blog about this, you can read it here: As you can see, us non-Americans are capable of driving revenue to merchant. anywayyyyyyyyy... I did appeal and ask for re-evaluation, and i get this corporate BS reply from them: " Thank you for contacting us regarding your request for a re-application. I am sorry to hear that your application before was rejected. I'd like to inform you that eBay Partner Network (and each eBay Advertiser) may use different criteria to accept affiliates. In some cases these rules may differ from Commission Junction. This means that we may not accept publishers who were previously registered, and vice versa. If you have previously belonged to the eBay Affiliate program with Commission Junction, please contact us again with your PID information so that we can investigate. The eBay Partner Network team and Advertisers are constantly evaluating the criteria we've set, and appreciate your feedback." your take?
it is not because you are outside the USA, there are plenty of non US people in the EPN, there must be another reason. I am from Australia and did not have a problem with CJ or with EPN. Plenty of affiliates around outside the US. Maybe its lack of your earnings history, your website etc, work on both, write to them just keep trying.
hi mcjp6: you are right about not all non US got rejected. However, they seem to auto reject most Asian countries' applicants. It's really puzzling considering the fact that they have all countries listed in the drop down menu in application form.
webwork: why the hassle? there are many other online merchants who are happy to work with us there's a big wide world outside US.
Was just offering a solution to your problem. Didn't realize you were only interested in complaining.
webwork: hey, don't get me wrong, i really appreciate your feedback. However, I've decided to stick with partnership with a US partner and also focus on promoting some other merchants' offer.
CY Your problems are all Asia Ebay-2-be affiliate problems. I Think not only Ebay, CJ is the same, still rejecting non-US (mainly Asia) websites / affiliates. Anyone has any luck getting through Ebay affiliate via US address / Australia address / Dont they check on IP access as well as tally them with paypal address particulars of yours Welcome anyone inputs
hey syabas: I am not sure if an US address work. Usually when a merchant rejects my application, i willl write them a "love letter". mostly they will accept my "love" and approve me. that's not the case with eBay though.
I'm in Canada and never had a problem with CJ or ePN ..actually was auto accepted into both programs. I can also tell you that there are many other people outside of the U.S. that haven't had any problems registering. Therefore I think it must have to do with your specific country...which country are you applying from?
The way around this could be: Somehow make out you are in the USA Find a company which has a large user base and their business model is to pay people more because they get good performance incentives. (similar to what shoemoneys company did) Find someone willing to let you use their account. - only problem is that they could take off with your money, you would have to find someone legit. Personally I'm in love with the eBay partner network and am looking forward to the buying season
hey Nathy: that's a good suggestion, and is something I am doing - partnership with a US webmaster. that's how I made $$ with eBay affiliate program via BANS (interested party can refer to my sig below). anyhow I just would like to have my own's eBay affiliate account. perhaps i should work out to get a US addy.
CY Lai, Me facing the same thing too...over and over again. I do not know how many time i was rejected by ebay. Doing a good report for them still the same. Now i try to use my domain email to ask them for re-evalute my application.... Hopefully ok...
hey greg: don't sweat. you can try to use a US address to apply, or get a US partner, or just go work with other affiliate network.
If they don't verify your address and they pay via PayPal... who cares what address you put on your application? I would avoid using a U.S. address, because they will want a Tax ID number, but there are a lot of other countries on this big blue ball...
I notice, these are the countries who get approved; - US - UK - Canada - Australia - New Zealand - Some European countries The rest of the world....well.....
Reviewz: I realized that too. Anyway, i will be moving to Europe few months later, let's see if I got approved there.
